Only except its not dead, its put on pause for now because they want to adhere to Kickstarter's policy by having a fully presentable demo/prototype. The creation for the demo will take longer than the campaign itself, which is only a month.
Due to not having much to show off, and listening to fans' feedback, Blackroom's Kickstarter will be postponed until a demo is created. The situation illustrates the need for developers to actually have something to show before running a big Kickstarter campaign.
