Jesse Schell has waited 25 years for consumer VR to arrive, and he has a few theories about how the market will take shape
We're not bored. However, VR is incredible. So, I think a lot of us are willing to buy in.
I hate it when people speak for me, i'm not bored.
Whoever disagreed seems to believe you are, lol
Yeah, and even I can admit I am bored. There's not much out right now. I just think this is the calm before the storm.
Not bored but I would love something new. VR is too expensive for me at the moment so that leaves a game to wow me.
No they are not. They want Halo,Madden,FIFA,Gears, COD, Candy Crush until the day they die.
You forgot Assassin's Creed, lol
More like not enough time to play games for me
I'm not bored, but I'm sick and tired of online games.. games that I really want to play but requires me to pay money to play., I want single player games!
VR is an interesting platform, no doubt - especially since technology has advanced to a point where it is a compelling experience beyond simply being a gimmick. It does not, however, infer that gamers are bored. The user base for VR will be a small fraction of the market until it becomes more affordable and the VR games are on par with the best AAA conventional games.
I just want to try out VR before i buy one .
I am bored. Not in the sense that I'm not satisfied, because I am. But I think a lot of people like me have been waiting for something new to arrive. Something that brings back that feeling you had when you were a kid and saw the newest graphical leap, or the first time you saw games in 3D (not 3D tv). Something is stale with gaming and I can't put my finger on it. We got to a point when games look phenomenal, and yet, somehow they aren't more immersive anymore than they were in recent memory. In comes Virtual Reality and it promises to fill that void. I am ready already, Bring it.
Everything seems the same anymore. Nothing has had an innovative touch in a long while. The witcher 3 was a stand out RPG, so detailed in all aspects. I'm waiting on no man's sky, that seems fresh. Everything anymore is just the same aspects from other games with a new coat of paint. We need more story games and great co-op games. Competitive shooters are so dull.
Not bored but frustrated with all this microtransanctions, day one DLC, etc. tack on to mainstream games. So much so that I ended up playing indie games. At least with indie games is about the game first profits second. As far as VR is concerned, I will check it out at Starbreeze Star Arcade
bored? no the 'core home gamers' are grown af now and have money to properly invest in their hobby. smh these people are so dumb smh.
Yeah I'm ready to spend on more games lol Hello Uncharted 4 and Mirror's Edge Catalyst
