TVGB: "In what might seem like a strange move for one of the most influential faces of gaming, Peter Moore has taken a stand against suing those who pirate videogames."
Awesome Photoshop if I may say.
haha that picture is pure win!
It is a good pic
Whoa! I just realized what the poster did with the picture... wow, nice.
that picture is creepy.
Perhaps not the brightest, but probably the most entertaining guy in this industry.
Wonder if he will get a PIRATES tattoo now
Peter Moore be sayin' w'should cut off thar ears!
That right there what he said about going anotherway against piracy deserved an oscar I agree with him if developers go anotherway then there wouldn't be this problem. Even though I am not a pirate I am not against it especially when you see games costing 60 dollars that may nothing to you but to me it is 6 hours of work.
"I think there are better solutions than chasing people for money. I’m not sure what they are, other than to ***build game experiences that make it more difficult for there to be any value in pirating games***.” this is an interesting kind of point... games like rock band have managed to do this in that it's kind of pointless to pirate the game because the fun comes from playing with its peripherals. unfortunately, rock band 2 may suffer from piracy quite a bit being that it is compatible with rock band 1 equipment. still, the old pc publishers (i.e. infocom, etc.) had the right idea by including a lot of cool "sh*t" with their games that made purchasing one of their games more than merely buying a disk in a box. interestingly enough, EA (the same company that publishes rock band) has really dropped the ball as far as packaging goes, with their dismal manuals and cheap packaging... which only makes it that much easier to dismiss buying the actual retail product (because, after all, it feels just like a $60 disc in a box), and go the piracy route. not that this justifies piracy, but whatever.
In before the riffraff. That pic of Peter is 10/10.
“We absolutely should crack down on piracy. People put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into their content and deserve to get paid for it. It’s absolutely wrong, it is stealing. But at the same time I think there are better solutions than chasing people for money. I’m not sure what they are, other than to build game experiences that make it more difficult for there to be any value in pirating games.” a very smart man. too bad bald headed phil wasn't this smart before going to ATARI LOL. double lose.
