A new Heavy Rain Preview of a german site with the first gameplay details straight from Leipzig GC.
She doesn`t just move her head, the joysticks control her head and shoulders. The Triggers make her walk in the direction she is looking. It`s not called a "Movie" it`s called "Innovation" an I like it.
http://ps3.ign.com/articles... http://forums.gametrailers.... The QTEs come in during the heavy action sequences.
And you spend your time on an internet forum attacking games you haven't played yet and people you don't know at all.
Haha, so you can make her dance while doing investigation? Imagine walking back and forth and switching the shoulders right and left......
I think this game will get mix reviews from respected sites (not counting every unknown sites) when it comes out just like assassin's creed. from 7 to 9 over. I for other hand very interested in this game. Its one my top 10 anticipated game.

YOU can't wait? LOL I've been waiting for a game like this since I finished Indigo Prophecy. I can't believe how obsessed I've become. Read this. http://ps3.ign.com/articles...

The game has multiple endings The endings are based on how you are playing in it. The enemies have variable AI too. sounds awesome . isnt it
I can not think of any game on xbox or pc that looks better than this at all Scared you no lads i mean if this can be pulled off whats next for ps3 Better yet what is next when the ps4 hits what a f ing great looking game 2009 is a long long way but its worth the wait as i will be playing killzone 2 and more Alan what by the way Face it guys xbox has nothing on playstation only a small gap that is closing by the min hahah
Gamepro agrees with me on this too
I wonder what kind of response you were expecting with that comment. Flame on!
damn, i can't wait to play this. i don't mind a game with QTE. it's a change of pace from everything else you find everywhere. QTE is bunk for people with bad hand-eye coordination though. stay away from Guitar Hero/Rock Band if you don't like QTE. plus, QD's story telling and movie-like feel is always welcomed by me.
While it might seem odd to not be able to walk in 3-d space using the analog sticks, I think this way makes more sense. You use the R-2 for your walk, so no matter what you are doing you are always walking in the right direction in 3-d space. As long as you are turning your head you go there if you are pushing the R-2 button. I like that aspect of it and I think a lot of new games wit cinematic approaches are going to lend themselves to this way of doing things. In 3-d person it's too general. We know we're playing a game and how we move that character is dependant on where we are in 3-d space. If you turn around all of a sudden left is right and right is left on the analog sticks. This game changes all that and goes in for a much bigger approach. 3rd person and 1st person games feel like they are games. This game will probably feel like an experience, rather than a game. I'm more and more impressed with the choices being made on this one.
the reason for the walk function is because QD wanted to make it very cinematic in which the camera would be facing a certain angle at a certain time to have more impact like a director would do in a film. that's why it has to be this way. and yes, this game will be more of an interactive movie with game elements and this is what it was suppose to be in the first place.
I WILL BUY THEIR GAMES ANY TIME!!! Thank you QD for staying whit Sony...
ummm... how exactly did they "stay with Sony"? Sony realized their talent for cinematic story telling from Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit and made a smart decision to be publishers. they weren't on any platforms side before this.
09' is looking TOO-DAMN-GOOD. *goes and plays uncharted*
I loved Indigo and have a feeling this will be great too only with better visuals. As of right now the graphics are looking great but more then likely will be surpassed in visuals long before it's released. 2009 is going to be a very good year for gamers and I can't wait to see what everyone has to offer.
Who actually played Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit? Those of us who actually played it know well enough Quantic Dream can deliver an intriguing game, along with some questionable gameplay elements... I am excited for Heavy Rain, but at the same time I worry for it... you see, gameplay innovation lately has been either hit or miss.
i've played it & love it. you might want to ask who's ever played Guitar Hero or Rock Band and enjoyed it. same thing but you're actually moving along in a psychological movie like thriller and controlling the character. it's not for everyone, though.
This game gets more interesting with each preview that's shown.
all i have seen is a guy attacking the girl and you hit X....O........ ..... if the game is like that over and over..ill wont spend 60 dollars on this....it to early to tell game is so far away....ill save for uncharted 2 which will most likely do 400 times better than this game
and posted it in a more relevant story.
Great, love what QD is doing with this game. I just started Fahrenheit(euro version) and I love that game. Seriously I love the way the story is dependent on how you play the game. I may be the one who hopes for this but if Kojima and QD could work on a game together than they could make the best game ever.
