ThisGenGaming says "April’s Games with Gold has made a lot of Xbox One owners happy. The inclusion of 4 legitimately good titles, including one this Console generation’s best in Sunset Overdrive, is a nice departure from the typical paltry offerings of the free game service. So while we will all be enjoying some great gaming come April the question surely to follow is “Can Microsoft continue it’s strong Games with Gold offerings?"
From underrated Xbox One launch titles to absolute emperors of the strategy genre, history heads will love these games based around Ancient Rome.
Ryse was awesome, i have no idea why it wasnt recieved well and why we havnt seen another, Rome conquered so much, you could take the action anywhere, and it looked great when xbox one came out, now would be even better.
Popularized by Doom in 1993 and still making video game haters gnash their teeth today, first-person shooter games are the best thing to happen to gamers since pizza rolls. So here are 15 underrated first-person shooter games you may have missed.
Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.
Lol
All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.
XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games
Ryse: Son of Rome was an Xbox One launch title that has been left to collect dust, but Crytek should set aside Crysis and give Ryse another shot.
I really liked the original Ryse but Crytek doesn't have the funds. The mismanaged their properties and let EA raid them with Crysis for the duration of their relationship. Right now they are working on Crysis 4, I doubt they can spare resources to work on a Ryse sequel.
I recently bought it for the steamdeck and have to say... 60fps is a game changer. I really wished MS had gotten a one x patch or series boost mode option but sadly, nope. Other games that definitely deserve a second chance (esp on steamdeck/pc) are quantum break and sunset overdrive. Both deserved 60fps support on one x / series but you have to go to PC for that.
Rumor has it Crytek had plans for a Ryse 2 but due to the low turnout for XB (at the time) it was shelved. They really should give this another shot. i dont care if its multiplat on PS and XB and PC and Switch... just so long as part 2 gets made.
Game was good enough, not great.
Graphically it was top notch. Still holds well till this day.
Can ‘Games With Gold’ Continue Its Hot Streak Throughout 2016? Let's hope so. MS has been doing a great job but it will be quite difficult for them to keep up with the quality of games offered with Aprils GWG. BC has been a blessing though and it's added a lot more value to GWG and besides many of the BC titles included in GWG are actually much better than most of the current indie games we have. I can see titles like Left 4 dead, Red Dead, Dark Souls 1 and 2, Tekken tag 2, Alan Wake etc added to GWG down the line.. And regarding current-gen titles maybe we will get Ryse, Dead Rising 3 or even Titanfall but i doubt we will get FH2 or Assasins Creed Unity on GWG anytime soon. For a game which came out 2 years ago FH2 is still selling well its the best arcade type racer on the console and Assasins Creed Unity is still quite new.. Instead of FH2 we may get FM5.
Let's hope so but this coming April will be hard to beat
I'd wager Titanfall won't be making an appearance since it's available via EA Access.
FH2 wouldn't work if the FH3 rumours are true because Forza games are time sinks. Nobody that just got FH2 is going to have time for FH3. I'd say Forza Motorsport 5 is a likelier candidate.
I'd like a swing at both Ryse and DR3 but I'm never going to put down hard cash for them so they are perfect for GwG in my opinion.
Unity along with AC as a whole needs to just die. This was fun back when Brotherhood was new and to an extent Black Flag, but now the series needs to just go away.
For sure.
