FINAL FANTASY XV Active Time Report January 2016

Square Enix: "FINAL FANTASY XV Director Hajime Tabata and Marketing Manager Akio Ofuji are back for the first Active Time Report of 2016!"

DarkOcelet3007d ago (Edited 3007d ago )

This game had one brilliant marketing and the fact they actually listened to the feedback from Episode Duscae and improved on everything means that Square is serious this time and this game will be one of their best.

So hyped!

10 years waiting for this beauty. I think its gonna be worth it.

SaveMeJebus3006d ago

Loved how Noctis had to roll will the crocodile "death spin". I can't freaking wait for this!

DarkOcelet3006d ago

Yeah, its beautiful and the animations are amazing.

Some excellent work has been done in this game.

Day 1 for me!

PhoenixUp3007d ago

I love how active Squafe Enix is with showing this game to the public so much after so many years of secrecy.

Kalebninja3006d ago (Edited 3006d ago )

The ATR was a little long, they talked too much

TheOneWhoIsTornApart3006d ago

That is how all ATR's are. The entire purpose is to update us on things.

Kalebninja3006d ago

Obviously, my problem is it was too long, they spent a lot of time repeating the same things and it could have been done in a shorter time.

GrontB3006d ago

This game just keeps surprising me. If its anything like they are making it sound, fire and lightning having degrees of conduction and so on, it will be one of the most technically advanced and in depth open world games. Very hopeful about this game

Whitey2k3006d ago

Makes me wonder even ff7 remake is episodic is it or will it use the same tech as this?

Summons753006d ago

Oh I feel they probably are using a lot of FF15 as a foundation to speed up the process.

GrontB3006d ago

I definitely think so. Part 1 of the episodic breakdown will maybe be up until you leave Midgar and they will make the wall street part and sector 5 extremely detailed like they are doing with the cities in FF 15.

RIPWiiU3006d ago

Next time use the Unreal 4 please. They're using it for FF7 so I guess they know their crystal tools are full of poop and even they can't use them.

ninsigma3006d ago

The luminous engine won't be finished until ff15 is finished. They're ironing out bugs with it in tandem with developing 15. Not much point in using it for other games at the same time when it's still in development which is why ff7R and KH3 are using unreal.

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled8d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?

Final Fantasy XV Review – A Royal Road Trip

Gary Green said: With my fondness for (most) Final Fantasy games and my side goal of finishing off games in my collection with loose ends, a return to Final Fantasy XV seemed inevitable. It also serves as my third Final Fantasy platinum trophy after VII and VIII, a reasonable substitute since Final Fantasy IX is nigh on impossible to master.

Final Fantasy 15 director reveals why he left Square Enix, and announces he's working on 2 new JRPGs

Final Fantasy 15's director has revealed why he left Square Enix back in 2018.

Hajime Tabata famously resigned from Square Enix two years after Final Fantasy 15 shipped in 2016. In a special livestream at the time, Tabata announced his decision to resign from the company, cancelling three of four new story-focused DLC episodes for Final Fantasy 15 in the process.

FF15 is like FF13 its subjective people either like it or hate it.

raWfodog140d ago

I liked it. I haven’t played the royale edition yet but I’ll get around to it one day.

gold_drake140d ago

no no, 15 wasnt trash.

15 had a tremendous difficult development.

FinalFantasyFanatic138d ago

I really believe 13 was better put together and more complete than 15 ever was.

EternalTitan139d ago

Found the pathetic troll.
How is your jobless life going?
Dot worry, you will never get a job or a girlfriend haha!

Hofstaderman140d ago

Man inherited a train wreck and was expected to release this game in under two years after it spent a better part of a decade in development hell. At one point there was even plans to make FFXIII Versus a musical. He did what he could.

TheColbertinator140d ago

I didn't care much for XV and I always wanted the original vision of Versus XIII but I think the dev team did what they could to salvage the project

Inverno139d ago

And yet people still blame him for the game turning out the way it did, rather than SE for the horrible mismanagement of 13 and Namura for being overly ambitious.

Dwarrior140d ago

Whatever the behind-the-scenes went on over the many years, at the end of the day it was a radical change in direction that I could not go along with. Also why I never bought 16.

gold_drake140d ago

this is also why Sakaguchi (spelling) left.
