CourierMail Review: Etrian Odyssey

Logan Booker Writes:

"ALTUS is well-known for its unique, anime-themed role-playing titles. Not quite as well-known as the formidable Square Enix, but it's secured itself a healthy portion of the market with products such as the Persona series.

Etrian Odyssey continues the trend on DS, bringing a pure Japanese role-playing experience to the handheld. It's a shame it brought frustration along for the ride.

The player is tasked with exploration, and subsequent looting, of the menacing Yggdrasil Labryinth. Up to five characters can embark on this journey, though the player is free to create, and have on-call, as many as they want." (Etrian Odyssey, Nintendo DS) 7.5/10
