Pixelbomb Games, a fast growing Manchester based development studio who are currently developing Beyond Flesh And Blood for the Xbox One and PS4, have announced the appointment Crystal Dynamics former President John Kavangh as Managing Director.
HMMMMMMM, I WONDER
I wonder, what are you wondering? I honestly don't get it.
Ever notice that when a subject involving MS/Xbox is in the news somewhere , someone formerly involved is getting a job leading some new company or venture. EX Moore to EA, Whitten to Sono's , Elop to Nokia .
Castillo might be right. Your angle might be fanboy guided but he may have been forced out. Same thing happened to Ken Kutaragi at Sony. They called it a"promotion" but that is a respectful way of giving someone the boot. Send them upstairs where they can't hurt anything else. Moore was forced out because his mistake caused rrod. Elop came from Nokia and joined Microsoft as part of the Nokia acquisition, you're wrong on that. He was never really going to stay at Microsoft because he thought he would be CEO and his handling of Nokia showed he wasn't cut out to run Microsoft. Whitten got the axe for losing his cool on handling the Xbox One launch blowback. His handling of the"what about the troops" bs cost him his job. Though it had to be hard for him considering he was probably smart enough to know that a bunch of gamers who couldn't care less about troops getting blown up in real life every day were sooo concerned about those same people's inability to get blown up virtually. Uhh, gamers.
Oh, okay. Bad sales of ROTR could mean John got kicked out of CD. It is interesting timing...
Didn't John Kavanagh leave CD back in the mid to late 2000's? Actually just checked. He was head of CD for 2 years from 2001 to 2003. The fact yall are trying to make this about RoTTR is hilarious tho.
Shloobmm3, I guess I still don't understand what castillo was alluding to then. In re-reading the article, it does say he was working there during CDs' formative years though. Oh well, whatever, thanks for clearing that part up though.
"...someone formerly involved is getting a job leading some new company or venture." I think that's called life.
True , but the timing is crazy. Am going to watch and see either way . lol
@castillo What are you waiting to see?
