Gamer 2.0 reports:
''When Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe was first announced, the reaction was mixed. Some people loved the idea while others were openly hostile to it. As more and more new information has come out regarding the game, it's starting to become clear that this crossover might actually work out. Not much is known about the game's storyline, so we don't really know why these two Universes are going to go against each other. What is known, however, is that the game's storyline will be written by comic writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray. Palmiotti and Gray have worked together on a comic version of The Hills Have Eyes, as well as writing the script for Deathspace: The Movie.
Being a Mortal Kombat game, you can expect there to be a lot of over-the-top fighting moves. This is a series that isn't really based on any kind of reality, so brining it together with a comic brand that has some of the most fanciful and iconic characters looks like a natural fit. The roster so far is looking pretty solid, with all the best known characters from each side being represented. You'll se the likes of Superman face off against Scorpion, Batman may take on Sub-Zero, and the list goes on. Jax, Sonya Blade, Shang Tsung, Lui Kang, and Kitana are also known to be in the game for the MK side. The rest of the DC roster looks good so far, being made up of The Flash, Green Lantern, Catwoman, Shazzam, and The Joker. The final roster may be up to 26 characters, but for now, these 14 are the only ones known to be confirmed.''
