Sociable Soccer, the spiritual successor to the Sensible Soccer series of football simulators that were around in the early 90’s, has hit a bit of a snag as of late with its Kickstarter campaign officially cancelled by head developer, Jon Hare.
"The UK-based indie games publisher Kiss Publishing and London-based indie games developer Tower Studios, today announced with great delight and excitement that the full version of Jon Hare’s “Sociable Soccer” is coming to PC and consoles in Q2 2022, following the title’s huge success on Apple Arcade." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
After more than five years since being announced, Sociable Soccer will finally release on PS4.
During the first-ever China International Import Expo (CIIE), held in Shanghai from Monday 5th to Saturday 10th November 2018, "Sociable Soccer" waved the flag for the UK games industry at the Expo.
I understand why it failed. It looks cool as a mini game or something. But not much more. Definitely not worth 300k POUNDS.
