Summerfall Studios co-founders David Gaider and Liam Esler took to Twitter to announce that they're moving their upcoming crowdfunding campaign from Kickstarter to Fig following an apparent anti-union stance that has developed at Kickstarter.
Fig, the crowd funding platform know for Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, Phoenix Point and Wasteland 3, has acquired UK based blockchain development company Ownage, to build an open, decentralized platform for digital publishing.
Joanna Mueller writes: "Initially, backers assumed the items in question, 'Alien Living Gun Set' and 'Alien Chitin Armor Set' were to be exclusive to backers. However, the update made clear that the genetically engineered gear would add missions and gameplay elements. Not wanting to lock players out of the additional content, Snapshot explained that the packs would be available 3 months after the base game launches as DLC."
