PCMag: Some video games get a reputation for being weird purely because they're Japanese. That's the case with Yo-Kai Watch on the Nintendo 3DS ($39.99), but the oddity is distinct and easily explained. Yokai are mythological creatures like fairies and spirits in European legends. They're sort of ghosts, sort of demons, sort of very specific demigods. And in Yo-Kai Watch you can capture them. It's a concept that takes the Pokémon$39.25 at Amazon idea to a Shin Megami Tensei-like extreme (only without the blasphemy and horrific imagery), and it produces a fun, light RPG.
