Why do most modern console First person shooters feel exactly the same. The same movement, the same gun feel, the same game types. Fionna fox of brokenjoysticks traces the history and future of the FPS genera to answer that question.
Hahaha best one!
Playing the PS1 games of Medal of Honor makes me see the FPS genre differently in another perspective , i never felt that much fun in playing FPS games than the fun that i had of playing the original Medal of Honor games ( especially medal of honor underground )
Those games were amazing !! I spent many nights on the pc versions also with a group of friends. Good times
That's why I'm really looking forward to the new Rainbow Six, it's actually a modern shooter that is daring to be different. I wouldn't go as far as to say they all actually feel the same but the genre certainly has stagnated somewhat in recent years. Hopefully with games like Paladins and Overwatch, we'll start to see more developers actually try to be different again.
well duh, what the hell is it supposed to feel like, stop adding all these fancy gadgets to my fps, just renew the levels, and visuals.
Yep exactly when I fell off Cod too many drones and stuff like that I wish It would of stuck to gunplay
Because console controllers SUCK for accuracy. I don't care what anyone says - there's a reason 99% of FPS games on console have auto-aim either obviously or subtly.
Keep fighting your anti-console crusade Dynasty..
I use ps4 and Xbox 360 Controller on PC, Not everyone like mouse and keyboard regardless of how easy it is get kills with
No sr titanfall and halo are diferent...
Especially Halo. :)
FPS games especially the COD series is way too fast. There's no time to think about where the enemy is and what you are going to do to counter. They need to slow down a little and get rid of these stupid perks & stupid flying suits and get down to what they used to be. COD 4 modern warfare was an awesome experience but they got too excited and lost the plot. World at War 2 is where we need to go next and slow the pace down as we are not all 10 year old with ninja reflexes
Every dumb article seems the same now.
