Apparently Fallout 4 crashes in specific areas due to save files becoming corrupt. PC workarounds for various quests have been posted on the Bethesda forums.
Jesus christ thats a lot of areas that can corrupt your save :/ Typical Bugsthesda, great ideas, crappy execution :/ They need some serious Quality Control.
Save early and save often. I generally come close to 1000 saves or so for Bethesda games by the time I finish them. I highly suggest others do the same.
I'm just happy it's not crashing on me every ten - thirty minutes anymore. Still once in a while, but I don't really have to worry anymore. Still getting this annoying bug where my character's face texture turns a solid black out of nowhere. Wouldn't be annoying, but now with the new dialogue system ... Most are attributing it to a sli problem.
I don't get it, I feel like I'm the only one that never experiences crashes on games. I'm sure I'll run into one eventually. What kind of PC specs are these people reporting having used? I've got an i7-4900, gtx 970, 16GB of RAM, and plenty of HDD space on an ASUS Maximus MB. I feel like that's kind of the standard at this point. I'm also using Windows 7. I've read that a lot of users are having issues with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
I have a buddy who is on 7 and still has crashes just like me.
Well, over 25+ hours in and I still have yet to experience a crash issue. I did have one issue where it froze, but that was because of another program I was running. Once I killed that process, haven't experienced an issue since. I've run into bugs and stuff, as you'd expect with Bethesda lol. But overall, I'm having a blast.
