Im sure it will boost sales then in 2 weeks we will be back to normal.

it happened with the last Ace Combat when it ebat the ps3 for one week and the fanboys went all crazy.

All im saying is the the 360 WILL beat the ps3's sales for a week or 2 after tailes of vasperia is out in japan and we will go back to normal after that,

I know it wont stop it but please try and keep the fanboy comments of "OMGZ teh ps3 iz d0Omed" comments in the open zone where no one with a brain will care

Infinite Undiscovery launches in less than 3 weeks. So expect the improved sales to last for at least 5 more weeks.

SuKiT3414d ago (Edited 3414d ago )

Well that must mean the PS3 is all but dead now.

JUST KIDDING do not hate on me. Seriously though glad to see people enjoy the games the developers work so hard on making, no matter what console they are on.

Edit: A disagree seriously???? Someone really has their panties in a wad.

mikeslemonade3413d ago

Just look at what microsoft game studios had to do for these sales. They had to make the 360 cheaper than the Wii and they had to pay for these RPGs. They investment will only give them a huge debt this generation and there actions are only for paving the way for next generation.

jwatt3413d ago

Yea but Ms did what they had to do, let Japanese gamers know that the 360 has RPGs.

@SuKit

Just completely ignore the whole "agree" "disagree" system altogether. It's entirely stupid. It could not be that someone even disagrees with you. It's just some random kid that goes around clicking random disagrees. Anybody can do it. It's a stupid system. So don't worry about it man.

orakga3413d ago

Microsoft's (IMO shady) long-term strategy seems to be working as intended.

Whoever said money can't buy you love...

mikeslemonade3413d ago (Edited 3413d ago )

Don't think that this is where Microsoft can just relax. Whatever they did from xbox 1 to today they have to do twice as more just to get past the PS3. And that's not going to happen. They would have to get RE5 exclusive and get all the other rpgs exclusive.

And look at what happens to microsoft gaming studios when they focus too much on one territory they tend to neglect the other territory. PS3 is gaining in North America and PS3 has already over taken 360 in sales in Europe. This is why there money is better spent in North America and Europe where they don't have to spend as much money and they sell way more systems and software.

Yeah, but mainly it means someone agrees or disagrees with you. ;)

mistertwoturbo3413d ago

Yeah but my point is that a lot of people don't even read what you say. But they'll click disagree anyway. I just completely ignore the whole system. Bubbles are more important, because that really reflects if people like what you say or not.

kindi_boy3413d ago

i hope sony gets it up the @$$ this time so they understand how JRPGs are important in JPN....what's pissing me off is they do understand but doing nothing about it. they concentrating on shooters ENOUGH! we have enough shooters games to play for the coming 5 years straight....

OMGLOLZ3413d ago

As we all knew the 360 is going to beat out PS3 in Japan.
Japan loves American videogames.

pwnsause3414d ago (Edited 3414d ago )

Japan and American Video Games should not be on the same sentence. Japan and Japanese Video Games Like Tales Of Vesperia fit in the same sentence. Thats why the 360 is going to sell well for a few weeks in Japan. Unless you were being sarcastic, then i can let that one slide.

morganfell3414d ago

Beat the PS3? No, sorry that didn't and won't happen.

omodis4203414d ago

Just so you know that was all sarcasm. I thought you would all get it.

morganfell3414d ago (Edited 3414d ago )

Also the word Surge is a misnomer. Nice to see xbots approving a ridiculous story from a site they attacked as undependable when the story was about Ghostbuster exclusivity. Nothing but a herd of hypocrites running for their console's life. Sorry but the PS3 will get you halfway across the field.

Sir_Ken_Kutaragi3413d ago

3 weeks ago xBox 360 Sold 3,807(SAD!!!)
2 weeks ago xBox 360 Sold 4,941 +1134(Not much is it???)

Sir_Ken_Kutaragi3413d ago

Maybe the Weathers Cold in Japan??? They need some Heaters to keep them warm!!! ;-D

zapass3413d ago

but in reality, they're losing day after day everywhere.
even in the US, the tide is turning and they're about to get crushed.

so in the end it's a big wet dream for losers who'll never ever see a real pu$$y

lol

Pain3413d ago

so even this is possible.

And it will only get better with the respectable launch of Tales of Vesperia and Infinite Undiscovery in 3 weeks time.

Edit: If Microsoft are smart, they should use TGS to announce mistwalker's new IP CRY ON and also the sequel to Blue Dragon. The Blue Dragon anima series is huge in Japan, so an announcement of a sequel will spark interest in the 360 and help sustain sales at a reasonable level.

xhairs93413d ago

I'm sorry but an increase that minute in today's world is so over-dramaticized. Get a grip, it increased by 50000% to a whopping 5,000 units? Is that honestly the best you can do? That certainly isn't "reducing the gap" between PS3/360, wow.

Take whatever you can get I suppose...

projectile3413d ago

The 360 is selling 0.5x of the 10000 ps3's in Japan, 0.75x of the 70000 ps3s in Europe and 2.25x of the 40000 ps3's in America. (taken roughly from vgchartz)
I would say closing in on the ps3 in Japan where the 360 is "dead" is pretty good.

niall773414d ago (Edited 3414d ago )

the 360 should have a nice month in japan then

+10,000 sales here it comes

Premonition3413d ago

This will probably be the best month the 360 has had in a while but dont forget it probably wont outsell PS3 overall seeing as how the MGS4 bundle is still hanging around over there.

Viktor E3414d ago

The Xbox 360 will be officially dead in Japan come Christmas
