IGN:
"In the short time I see Wild live in action, the main character – a fully-customisable shaman (like a doctor but a bit more magical) – is out on a mission to save a poisoned friend. You might have seen this in Sony’s conference at Paris Games Week but what you didn’t see was creator Michel Ancel and his friend take control of a baby wild boar. But I did and I lost my mind."
Joseph, Josh, Chris, and special guest Bella Blondeau discuss the recent Nintendo Direct, the PS5 showcase, and all things next-gen!
Michel Ancel has announced he has left the video game industry to focus full-time on a wildlife sanctuary.
Ancel's prolific 30-year career saw him create franchises at Ubisoft such as Rayman, Rabbids and Beyond Good & Evil.
I think Ubisoft have butchered his vision for Beyond Good and Evil 2, and over the years it got to a point where it was just like "RIGHT...I'm out"
There goes Beyond Good and Evil. I won't be buying the new one.
I guess he moved on. And I moved on from Ubisoft years ago. Excluding their support in VR. Would be cool if the first game was made in VR. Oh well.
Fox is probably right. His game was put on the back burner for years unless it was a hit like Rayman. Tons of Assassin's Creed games and shooters like Ghost and Rainbow. But no support for making BG&E a smash hit. I got tired of waiting for a sequel until they showed early tech demo footage years ago of Jade running through the streets.
Good luck to him.
I would quit too. I bet these guys are so fed up with everything, and dealing with gamers, that they would rather find a job to get as far away from gaming as they can.
After years of silence, the developer's official website seemingly uploaded a slab of new concept for the game, or at least what is presumably new concept art.
I'm seriously hoping this game gets released soonish. WiLD has been in development 6+ years probably closer to seven and its about time. Probably gonna be ps5 and ps4 title at this rate. I think Sony is holding back releases right now for the new console launch.
I been waiting on this game since it was first shown, glad to see its not canceled.
Playstation 4 right now is the console with the most diverse amount of games. Its really crazy. And there are still more heavy hitters to come.
Good time to be a gamer.
Wild was already released once on PS4, early this year if I remember right. The early streams weren't that great, with a ton of bugs and often freezes. Can't say I'm not sceptic about the rerelease.
Since the first time I saw Wild I was interested with the game but after looking the Gameplay yesterday I am pretty sure it is a day one for me.
I love how PlayStation delivers in many style of games like this one, Dreams, Detroit and others. The diversity of the PlayStation library is so great.
Personally, I believe TLG deserves that title. Nevertheless, Wild looks absolutely amazing!
I'm interested in Wild and Horizon Dawn Zero. Both look like something I would purchase. One game I am not interested in and I will not be purchasing.....Far Cry Primal. Don't know why I have a chip on my shoulder for that one but I do. I like FC4 too. LOL.
