Ripten writes:

"It was only a matter of time.

As the popularity of rhythm games continues to gain purchase in the pocketbooks of gamers worldwide, Warner Music is of the opinion that the publishers are getting away with robbery.

Executive Edgar Bronfman explained that Activision and MTV, developers of Guitar Hero and Rock Band, respectively, will eventually have to pay more for the licenses for the songs from their catalogue."

The story is too old to be commented.

Where's the game that will make tracks based on my own music selection? And Phase for the iPod doesn't count.

So instead of enacting industry standards and creating a more compelling system of managing their intellectual property they decide to tax the developers that are making their craptastic music popular again?

Lame, lame, lame. And that's the reason why I will rip, steal and thieve every song I can from these blood-sucking parasites.
