It's this dark scenario that opens Damnation, a new third-person shooter under development by Blue Omega Entertainment and Codemasters. Its protagonist is Hamilton Rourke, a member of a rebel group loosely labeled 'peacemakers' who've balked at the cleansing underway by Prescott Standard Industries and its well-armed private forces. And so they set off to stop it, hoping to save the last of America's free cities along the way.
