Xbox 360's 'Tales of Vesperia' Launches in Tokyo

"Tales of Vesperia," the latest in Namco Bandai's long-running "Tales" series of games, debuted to a couple of hundred waiting gamers in Tokyo on Thursday morning.

Sales of the Xbox 360 title began a little after 8 a.m. at Yodobashi Camera in Tokyo's Akihabara electronics district, where about 200 people were waiting by the time the game launched. The first person in line arrived late on Wednesday night.

The story is too old to be commented.

Nice hopefully this game responds well with the Japanese and it moves some 360's. I am not a big fan of the past Tales games but something about Tales of Vesperia has very interested in the game. I played the demo and liked it, the graphics are great and the art direction is awesome.

So it begins...this is going to be common as the JRPGs rolls out on the 360.

japanese really love their rpgs but they hate foreign rpg games like mass effect and oblivion.

It was like this when Eternal Sonata and Ace Combat 6 came out over in Japan. Temporary boost once again is all.

Didn't Blue Dragon sale about 90,000 its first week out in stores? or 50,000?

I don't remember but if was anywhere between these two numbers is 200 people that impressive?

Which is why this isn't a big deal. Eternal Sonata got the same reception that Vesperia is getting now in Japan. But in the end, it didn't sell too well and ended up being bought over to the ps3 to get extra sales out of the game. It's a good chance Vesperia will share the same result and come to the ps3 as well
