Rare feels 'lucky' to be owned by Microsoft

Legendary British developer Rare, responsible for classics GoldenEye, Banjo and Perfect Dark, is "lucky" to be owned by Microsoft, according to its senior software engineer.

Speaking to at the Develop conference in Brighton last week, senior software engineer Nick Burton said that Rare doesn't suffer from some of the commercial pressure that other developers do.

They can't say "it sucks to be owned by Microsoft" in public.
If dev's are feeling good with it that leads to improved morale and higher quality work results. Good for them.

I think they are refering to Rare own IP. You could also toss in StarFox.
