PS4 is substantially closing the gap against its closest competitor.

Japan is the only region where Wii U sales are up YOY.

Xbox One would be lucky to sell pass a 100k in this market.

its gotta be rough on those 58k.. lol

part of me thinks its actually westerners living over there.. haha

yeahright21057d ago

I remember one or two gaming journalists saying that only hardest of the hardcore own X1's over there.

Ashlen1057d ago

Yea, I generally imagine most of the consoles are sold to U.S. military stationed there.

Concertoine1057d ago

A decent percentage are probably collectors who buy everything.

Westerners probably imported the launch console rather than wait a year for the Japanese xbone.

XB1 needs a Dragon Quest / Pokemon type of RPG for Japan, and they will sell 300,000 consoles.

I need to look carefully to spot the line representing the xbox at the bottom.

I want Wii U zelda already. Please.

Xbone is abandoned in japan

Spotie1057d ago

It would have to have been adopted first to be abandoned there. Unless you're speaking of Microsoft abandoning it.
