Modern shooters are still outplayed by the magnificent nonsense of a 20 year old pixelated FPS. Hail to the King, baby.
Duke was a game changer for sure. It's too bad his latest venture was such a train wreck due to numerous delays and personnel changes during development. The days of LAN parties, co-op couch gaming and physical gaming media all face the threat of extinction as we advance down the road and the technology and features evolve. Some of the funnest gaming I've ever had was using the Link cable hub kit for the original Xbox and playing Halo with friends (multiplayer and coop campaign). Halo 5 doesn't even have split screen coop for this outing...that's a bummer for me. While it's never been a better time to be a gamer, at the same time many things us old school gamer have fond memories of are going away. A lot of the change we are witnessing in gaming is great however, so you have to take the good with the bad. Speaking of, I wonder if we'll ever see a Duke Nukem follow up that the fans are owed?
