One aspect of the Assassin's Creed games that has split players over the years has been the modern-day story. For fans of the narrative, there's good news.
Let me guess a first person snore fest. Say what you like about Desmond but his present day missions were pretty fun and interesting. He was the only one to tie everything together and make travelling to the past actually interesting, to uncover the secrets in the future.
I 100% agree. I liked Desmond and it made sense. Without a present day crisis going on there's no point, really. There's supposed to be the abstergo vs the assassins which they spent five games builing up to only to let it fall flat on its face. We only have other players to blame, though. Ubisoft said that they heard the complaints and addressed them, then we got wannabe pirate sim.
The modern day segments are a complete borefest,no inspiration and just so dull. They should just make it cutscenes instead
Agreed. Nothing pulled me faster out of the game then having to do the boring modern day scenes. I run through them as quick as possible.
Over the years I've thoroughly enjoyed Assassins Creed Games ... But when I look at various gameplay videos of Syndicate I can't help but think ...been there done that /
Hopefully they go back to third person and let us play as Galina Voronina. Since she is a Eve Descendant.
They should make modern day have a city as well to explore
