Destructoid takes a look whether the Halo 5: Guardians' Spartan abilities will make or break the entire experience?
How dare you compare Halo to effin COD -_-
However it turns out Im going to try it for myself
Yep, the only way to be sure.
WOW gtfo of here with the cod comparison. Anyone who played the H5 beta knows what I mean. Typical to see such an article here. I'm actually not shocked as its become the norm...
I am so utterly sick of seeing people complaining about Halo changes that move the game toward game play styles that are clearly more popular. If you want to play Halo with old abilities go play MCC or fire up your 360. Halo will die as an IP if it doesn't evolve and I for one an 100% on board with the changes I am seeing for the series.
well first I have PS4 not X1 , but I had 360 so I know halo is awesome and for the new changes , the jet back or blusters are awesome , i used to always use them , and now you don't have to spend a perk on them because they're ready to use the ground punch or whatever it is looks freaking amazing , and its not over powerful , using might make you at risk so its powerful , but makes you vulnerable aiming down the site is the only thing im not sure if its good or not ...
it looks and plays nothing like COD. in COD AW, person sees you...pulls trigger...your gone I Halo, even if you get the drop on somebody, they can still win if they out skill you.
Josh Holmes said that's the one thing that will never change with Halo aslong as 343i makes them. The dynamic of being able to turn any situation around. So they'll always add more Mobility and Spartan Abilties but never take away Shields from the Core MP. SWAT & Breakout are the only exceptions and that's all Headshots.
Yea I'm glad that are sticking with that. It's a little thing but it factors in so greatly that it can't be messed with.
Not surprised this is coming from DToid. God their reviews are horrendous most times. Like he compared AW ground pound to Halo 5 when one's based on Skill Shot and the other has more in common with Borderlands Pre Sequel Crouch pound.
Halo is very very different from COD.. How can a man make such a comparison? There's actually a learning curve to Halo.. The game-play mechanics may be similar with regards to both being FPSs but they're far from the same.
Wouldn't it be the other way around?
Oh god not this shit again.
Every time someone compares Halo 5 to CoD, a poor helpless grunt dies.
DisGruntoid just hate grunts.
Play a match of Halo 5, then play a match of COD... If the conclusion you come to is that this games are similar beyond both being FPSs, then you simply don't know first person shooters... The way you engage enemies, the strategies you employ, they way you manage your health, the melee, grenade, and vehicle mechanics, the Weapons balancing... None of things are remotely similar within these two franchise... To suggest otherwise is simply BS...
Halo takes way more skill than CoD. This isn't a "whoever sees who first gets the kill" type of game. I've seen plenty of noobs get the first shots off on an enemy and still lose.
The next step. Only people who have zero taste for shooters would compare the two. They are similar in superficial ways. There are a lot of gamers who see things completely superficially.
Someone destroy this guy with a spartan laser plz and t bag his corps. Comparing halo and CoD 😑 like really....
So far EVERY aspect of this game is heading in the right direction. Its shaping up to be the closest thing to a perfect game I've ever seen. I'll wait till it releases for final judgement...but so far everything seems amazing. If by"next cod" you only mean a collection of all its best aspects with none of the bad ones then yes...if "just another" cod then no
