You saw Guerrilla Games' Horizon: Zero Dawn in video form, but today Sony held a stage shown during which the demo of the game was finally played live publicly for the very first time in the world.
Both games look great. With horizon I fell in love since the first leaked pic
Horizon is a beautiful PS4 game, with lots of potential. It will be very interesting to see how they both turn out. I am excited to see both
Horizon Zero Dawn is going to be a hit franchise this gen, mark my words.
The world just looks so beautiful
I cannot wait for this freaking game.
i want.. now!!
Looks great. :)
Amazing; hopefully we get to see more at the Paris show.
Hopefully a newer build with no pop in issues and a fully healed thunderjaw.
People asking for dino mode for BF3 we got trolled by DICE with easter eggs. Now gurella games does T Rex on another level next gen style LOVE IT.
The potential this game has is mind boggling...
Game looks phenomenal from a gameplay and graphical standpoint. I want a PS4 demo released sometime before the game's actual release. I'm looking forward to the game but Guerilla doesn't have the greatest track record.
At first I thought it was different gameplay from the E3 demo Anyhow, being played live it was better. It showed some other aspects that otherwise you can't know. I really wish the video quality looked better than 240p -_-
This game is going to be amazing.
I want it now. I want to explore every single little things and all enemies.
Mam can't wait to play this, would be nice to get my hands on a demo too. World looking big and good. Looking like another great Sony exclusive.
it's open world and you can go anywhere!!! where have I heard that??? Destiny cof cof
Hate on hater...I love to watch trolls desperately trying to find something negative
The Witcher 3? While not exactly true for the game (the exploration part) it still turned out to be an amazing experience.
Lol I don't even get your comparison. Let me try; they said its gonna be good where have I heard that oh yeah Duke Nukem Forever!
Destiny is also a multiplayer game, this is not.. sorry to burst your bubble, but it will be open world.
Day one now if you could use announce a date and special edition
looks very very impressive might get a ps4 for this
Awesome. I wonder what you can find in the ancient cities, what remnants of the ancient civilization , what s going on with all the different tribes, the robot dinosaurs, maybe other different machines to find, what animals you hunt, maybe horses to tame, etc So munch potential and many possibilities the story could go.
How bout taminng the robo dinosaur's like zoids. Maybe ride in the big ones!!
Haven't bothered checking out scalebound, this however looks awesome. GG are a great developer and Sony are very lucky to have them.
Will be awesome if we are going to visit the big city there and see what time does to modern tech and buildings.hope it will be huge like they show on the e3 trailer
I am getiing this as soon as it comes out
I like these types of games.. lots of fun ahead :)
Boring and clanky
Hate on hater...I love to watch you trolls desperately try to find something negative
What part of taking down robotic dinosaurs with different tactics do you consider 'boring'? As for clanky, looks smooth enough animation to me
the more trolls the better. I like hearing them when they can't contain their jealousy.
Jealousy of what ? I play on Sony consoles since the 90's, not like the bunch of kids getting money from their mommys. If you're having problems acceping others POVs, go see a doctor
If this was a xbox article he would've already been flagged as trolling, but yeah..It's a xbox biased website so it's expected
Hope they come with a big collectors edition with a big robot dinosaur and the main character standing with a bow aiming at it.
Here's the only problem that I noticed possibly from seeing this game for a second time. Is that it seems like boss battle events are scripted or limited to how you approach defeating the dinobots! (Hopefully this isn't the case.) But it would have been an amazing time to show that there's not only one way to defeat such a big monster. I gotta say, it's a bit weird also seeing her get smacked around by this huge robot and not dying. I can understand if she is part alien or was wearing an exo suit, but as games chase realism this kind of interaction doesn't make much sense to me... hopefully it's explained though in more detail of how such human resilience came to be and maybe we'll find out that she's an android or something...
I dont think Thunder Jaws are bosses, my understanding is that their sole purpose is to protect robotic gatherings/groups to prevent Hunters(aloy) from poaching defenseless smaller robots, of their resources. As you can see in the video, it looks like the Grazers are converting grass into some sort of liquid fuel, or some other valuable liquid matter, that Aloy was after. And in an interview, GG mentioned something about using parts from different mechs to upgrade the bow and arrows. I'd say they game/demo is either on easy or normal. For demonstration purpopses.
Not sure how anyone could consider this scripted. They used the a similar method because they wanted to showcase the weapons for the eastern audience, but in the last encounter Aloy pulled off a section of the Thunder Jaw to use as a sort of rocket launcher. Also as far as Aloy taking damage, she got hit once but what do you honestly expect from a demo? They typically crank the health up high so the presenter doesn't get killed and create a lull in the action. Other than that she takes damage just like any other character in any other game would, if you have an issue with a character not being killed after one hit then you'd have to take the same issue for virtually every game on the market. I'm all for approaching a games preview even handed and bringing up worthwhile criticisms but I don't see your points here honestly. The only thing I saw was some pop in with some of the trees in the background, other than that the A.I. Looks phenomenal, the world looks intriguing & the combat & weapons truly look unique in an age where almost everything has been done before.
Um well this is a side quest so how different do you want it to play out?? Don't try to bring realism into a game where there are dinobots. Dude its a game!! Who the hell cares if the player isn't dying when she gets tossed around by a dinobot
Did I watch the wrong video? Looked like the fight from E3
Same demo, but played differently
same scripted fight than E3, it's not a good sign
It's not even a boss fight... and you can do it maybe all the time in so many different ways.
look at this video and the one from e3, the game is supposed to be open world but they are showing twice the same gameplay with AI doing the same patterns. Watch for yourself and think for a moment.
I wonder if you'll also get to fight people from other tribes in this game. The game looks awesome. So glad Sony is letting Guerrilla do something new. It's really going to pay off for them.
The troops jumped all over the first statement, lol. Insecurities much?
Troops? ...As in the Military? ..Gee Wiz, I didn't realize there was a War on 'Mass Enjoyment'? Here's an idea....take your Phantom Console War and go back to your pathetic imaginary battlefield. Didn't anyone tell you you're way behind enemy lines? I guess you enjoy being a pathetic POW Fanboy. Ironic you mention 'insecure much'? That same insecurity prompted you to comment smart pants. So many sad Human Beings in this World /
There there. Do you feel better now? Alright, let's continue civilly, Mr. Objectivity. Hmm, it says thatPSguy. Sounds like you're well aware of the console wars and want everyone to know to which side lay your loyalties. Also seems that you just reinforced my original statement. Perhaps you'd like to comment further. Oh, out of bubbles are we?
We have no way of knowing which game will be more well recieved but going solely off of demos Horizon takes the cake. If framerate is king like I keep hearing then Scalebound should automatically be considered a failure with the amount of frame drops in that demo. Beyond that Horizon took home best new ip at nearly every outlet for e3 which is pretty much inarguably the biggest convention in all of gaming so I'd say people are absolutely fine with the way things are shaking out. Scalebound looks like it could end up a fun game but Horizon is a step above that, fun plus an interesting world and story. If I had the opportunity to trade Horizon for Scalebound I honestly wouldn't think of taking it.
I'm most happy about how good the gameplay seems to be. Its looks like it will be fun.
Game looks really good can't wait to try it
The game is good...but i can't like the artistic way this game going. The story of this game to me is completely strange, but i can accept that. But the way the machines looks and behave is soo strange, like a enormous Brontossaur machine type with a interprise head... c'mon. And humans hunting machines full armed to its teeth with arrows? WTF...
I can't link very well as well
I couldn't watch this. The upload compression is so terrible on this video, I can't even tell what's going on half the time.
Was hoping for some new gameplay! Also the quality of the stream was pretty shitty. In my opinion, i think the E3 Demo looked way better. Yea it was staged .. but I didn't notice any improvements. Anyone feel differently? Still buying the game, but this was a weak update in my opinion
Wow looks great
Have seen this a long time ago...
I still don't get how mechanical robots can sustain themselves on what looks like organic plant life.
