Square Enix has released a new Final Fantasy XV trailer named Dawn 2.0 that is an extended version of the Final Fantasy XV trailer that premiered at Gamescom 2015.
I love the dark tone of the game. FFXV seriously looks like a game changer for the series.
Im relieved after seeing ''coming 2016'' in official trailer. P.S. Anybody else noticed that Xbox One logo always shows before PS4 in FF15 trailers? Could that mean something?
I know what you are trying to say, exclusive content but i doubt Square Enix would do that especially when the game will sell 99% of its total sales on PS4 in Japan.
@DarkOcelet Well Square-Enix did it with the latest Tomb Raider game making it a timed exclusive, but I believe it means nothing since the main platform they have general focus on is the PS4. I surely hope there wont be any exclusive content for any versions because that's just a lazy tactic to lure you to that one platform.
2016, CANNOT WAIT!
Luna so bossy
Ya, people were all worried that she was gonna be a weak ass push-over, unlike how supposedly Stella was. Luna's got some sass though, for sure.
Oh boy, a trailer that might be around 50% footage we haven't already seen. At least seeing emo looking protagonist hugging crying king pa wasn't the primary focus this go around.
cool, finally luna/stella (dont remember which one is it) is shown! hope the guys who cryed about the last "dawn trailer" are happy now!
Does the guy throwing around Luna look like Noctis's dad to anyone else at least in silhoette? It would make sense in the vs XIII universe where Noctis's and Stella's (scrapped character) kingdoms are warring. I'm really excited for this game.
It isn't him. You can pause on his face when the lightning flashes and see that it isn't him. Also he has Bahamut sigils and another unknown sigil on him telling us that he is part of the Niflheim Empire. This game is gonna be amazing.
not a FF fan but will get this for sure(turned based combat)is what turned me away from the series. I hope for FF7 remake they also use real time combat and not turned based
Nope. FFVII is about being turned based. Don't like turned base, then you don't like FFVII. I see no reason to alienate fans of the game based on some who don't like turned based. That is what FFXV is for. I expect their remakes to consist of the same game play type. It adds way more strategy and they have other IPs for action base, leave the older series turned based. And I'm happy for FFXV being action based too, doesn't mean I want the whole series that way.
Well don't get your panties in a bunch if the remake ends up real time cause the developers said the combat will be different but recognizable to the series which doesn't necessarily mean it will stay turn based. It could mean you'll recognize all the moves the characters use but it doesn't play the same. So however it turns out remember FF7 is more than just being about turned based combat, there's a story and characters that can definitely be enjoyed in a different style which to me is what makes it a Remake vs a Remaster.
EDMIX i understand your point but square are trying to make FF be more appealing to bigger audience. now whether that's a good thing or not is personal preference i feel like turned based worked for its when the tech was limited. I honestly see FF7 being real time combat now whether developers like it doesn't matter. As a publisher square enix will decide If i was running square enix i would make all future entries or remakes/remasters to have real time combat
@Dohji and Showtime- could it not be both? Consider they said it won't be drastic or unrecognizable. FFXII was both, you could play it action, you could pause and have it turned based (ie taking turns). For all we know its a hybrid of both. I agree they are going action based, but I still see them focusing on some of the older FFVII concepts.
"Don't like turned base, then you don't like FFVII." that's pretty silly to say, there;s a lot more to ff7 than the battle system,if you think that's the biggest part to it all then that's fine but some others can see more to it. "That is what FFXV is for" Same thing could be said for the original 7, or if you want turn bases that's what the re-release of 7 coming soon is for, since clearly the battle system is the biggest part to it. "I expect their remakes to consist of the same game play type" well you're likely to be very let down.
A 2016 release is what, 12 years in development?
Well if you don't know when it went into development or if you think 2006-2016 is 12 years
Actually I heard they started working with original concepts and pre-production stuff in 2004 before they decided to reveal it to the public. Maybe I'm wrong.
I love turn-based RPGs, but I love a great plot even more. Hope this delivers on the latter.
graphics... so nice... we're inching closer and closer to the final fantasy cinematic graphics Square introduced us to on the PS1. Well, to argue a bit with myself, these real time graphics are better than the cinematics of yesteryear. But more is always desired because I'm a useless consumer with a wallet and demands.
Well of course they look better compared to the PS1 cinematics running 15 fps, especially compared to dated FFVII cinematics. :P
right, so lemme correct myself and say that the new standard is to look like FF7 - AC. lol. We'll never be happy.
@alti I'm just joking, I'm not that crazy about graphics honestly.
So hyped for this game!
