The demo is coming this September 29th.
Thanks to blue ray this is possible. Buying it day one
Woah! All on one Disc?? Awesome compression! Can't wait. Already Pre-Ordered. Just date waiting /
how have they got all on one disk? I feel lots of compression on cut scenes
Naughty Dog are wizards lol
Except BluePoint make this port. i hope there are no compromises here.
Bluepoint are also wizards, someone should buy these guys and get them making their own IPs.
The guys at Bluepoint are wizards to the point the folks at ND were shocked by what they could do. So Compromises won't be an issue.
20GB day 1 patch??
Been waiting for this from a long long time ago, remember playing Uncharted 1 and I was blown away how it looked and played it was a great experience, at that time too I was playing lots of PC gaming in High res, always asking my self since then I wonder how Uncharted would look like in full HD and 60 fps, just thinking of that was mind boggling, well the wait is almost over!, bring it on!!!
Uncharted 2 on PS3 looks like a PC game at times, it's beautiful with an amazing art style. I can't wait to play it at 60FPS in 1080p where it will truly look and play like a sick PC game. Also, anyone who says that simply upping the res and framerate isn't a true remaster are really ignorant and have no clue what it takes to get a game locked at that res and framerate with no screen tearing, it takes some seriously development skills and an amazing game engine. Which is why, as much as I love Gears of War, the remaster is disappointing being the SP is still 30FPS and it still has screen tearing.
To be fair, the PC version of the original Gears was pretty broken.
A DEMO ?!? Holy crap thats so old school. For all the young gamers here, a demo is something we used to get all the time. Its a short playable segment of the game thats supposed to show you how good it is and let you try it before you buy it, such was the devs confidence that they were shipping a polished product. They used to be stamped on a disc with other demos and then stuck to the front of a reading publication called a "magazine". It was stuck on with a wonderful squishy rubbery glue which you could keep and play with and was a game in itself. Many a gamer would purchase these magazines every month for about two bits to get all their gaming news, a demo disc, actual insightful articles (and the glue of course). Back in those days prohibition was in full force, the Speak Easy was king, people had manners, all men wore hats in the street and looked well to do, and I'd never even heard of cholesterol. It was truly a golden era. Ahh, memories. *sniff*
I used to buy the playstation magazine in those days, a lot of great demos, also some games used to have some demos, like fencer musashi with the ffviii demo oh those times...
Don't know whether to bubble you for funny or well said.....;)
I went with well said, best comment I have read on n4g in a long time!
It's probably one of the other reasons MP was removed, so it can fit on one disc.
That's some mighty fine compression right there!
Im also thinking they don't need to double up (triple up?) data like they did with the PS3 to reduce Blu Ray access times, as most games did not install all content data to the HD.........
Day 1 that old school in action. Remember when game mags gave demo disks.
