Destiny is here to stay, but what did Bungie do to achieve such consistent popularity and is it merited?
It'a gaming Stockholm Syndrome.
the magic is that they arranged so that some important person at E3 went on stage and declared "This is the next big game you will need to buy. You must now get hyped. Go!"
Haven't played the game but since all the expansions are coming on one disc, I am going to pick the game up sometime in October.
I like it. I picked it up on Xbox One with all the DLC and Taken King. The new update changed a lot of things. It will be new to you either way. I like some things and I don't like others (when it comes to the update) by kids and I have a blast on missions together. Edit: The gunplay, and art style, IMHO is all Halo. Even the "Titans" with their abilities is from Halo Reach. The ground smash especially. My wife came in 2 nights ago and said "that looks like Halo" and she doesn't even play Video games. It's a lot of fun though. My only gripe is when it comes to the Raids and The Prison of Elders. You need to get a group together to get them done. It isn't in matchmaking at all.
Ain't picked up yet. Probably wait till the Black Friday sale to get it all.
Destinys staying power? Halo game mechanics love.
100% Halo reskinned with a different story and bigger production value.
while the game was good the lack of content killed it for me but i will pick the new dlc. didnt pick up the last two tho
The magic is it's extremely slick gunplay. At the current time, it's probably the best shooter out there at the moment. Other than that, the magic is probably dopamine addiction.
My friends and I left it, don't miss it at all. In fact, I wonder why I played it so long. There're so many better multiplayer games imo.
