Scott says: "Mad Max is a game that had me torn down the middle of whether to recommend or not. It does come recommended, though there are some caveats to this recommendation. Mad Max is a substandard compilation of features we’ve seen in other WB-published games over the past year. Mad Max is an exciting and unique approach to an open-world, it just has some odd design choices, like making it about survival when it’s a nonissue. And it’s really unfortunate the story often resorts to completing side activities to fill in for a more meaningful narrative journey, while leaning heavily a revenge trope as motivation. Mad Max is at peak fun when you’re setting off explosions, smashing your car through an enemy’s camp, or just driving aimlessly and engaging with bandits."
