Evidently aside from being hard wired they are made out of cheap plastic and there is no microphone jack...but they do look nice, considering.

There is a headphone jack you can clearly see it on the captain phasma controller right below the dpad

Yeah my day one survived 100% peggle 2,being dropped in a toilet and being dropped countless times. Only retired it because I'm using my covert forces one!

I'm usually at my chillest when playing Peggle 2. I guess a lot of strain could be put on a controller though if beavers playing guitar solos get you super stoked.

Toilet had been flushed, I was drunk and talking to a friend on my mic.

I pretty much drowned it in disinfectant and left it in rice. Works still, just rarely touch it now p

Its not the first time officially licensed controllers have been crappy.

Thats why I always buy MS Xbox One controllers same with DS4! Hell with these third parties controllers. Except for fight stick and drive wheels.

No thanks, 3rd party controllers are nowhere near 1st party quality. We already have wired controllers by just taking my 6ft phone cord and plugging it into my wireless controller. Microsoft owns the wireless technology or something is why the the controller is wired.

Officially licensed doesn't mean first party. Just that they are approved for use with the system and guaranteed to work with the system.

Just another set of cheaply made third party controllers with a popular theme to sell them.

God I hate 3rd party peripherals, especially some of the hideous modular fans and chargers on the market,I've bought the batterie packs etc just to have them stop working after a few charges, just clunky cashgrabbing garbage, if it ain't official I'm not throwing down my cash.

Do people still use Wired Controllers? I feel like after Nintendo's Wavebird controller for Gamecube, wired controllers died. If these were wireless, I would definitely think about picking up one.

Wired is good for remote play on pc/tablet

Wired does have its uses, most 'professional' gamers prefer wired because there's less delay or interference (even if it is only minuscule with a wireless.) That's partially why Nintendo brought the gamecube controller back purely for Smash Bros. In other cases, like a computer, I prefer not having to charge my mouse and keyboard batteries if it's a desktop.

Outside of the black controller they all look cheap and tacky. Im sure 8 years olds would enjoy it though.
