"While the end of the trailer highlighted that it will come out in 2009 for the PS3 (with no mention of the 360 version), we were also informed by a later segment of the trailer montage that a demo of the game will be coming out with the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete Blu-Ray, which will be released in March of 2009."
So I guess it's really confirmed now that it's PS3 exclusive in Japan
Cudnt have put it any ebbet my self, tottally agreeable my friend, only on the superior ps3 so far, worthless to show on the infirior xbox 360 where it would look bad and put off potential buyers, so show the best
Localization takes about 6-9 months with english voice overs and such to take into effect. i'm telling you all now, unless square has a team a small team do preproduction on the 360 version, and they clearly state that they haven't started. it's going to take more than 6-9 month to complete the 360 version, even if the crystal tools is made for easy multiplatform development. production for an rpg will be well over a year. So and then localizations for that will also take an additional 6-9 month european countries. Square has made it known, time and time again, that there most interested platforms are Playstation and nintendo so... this is more concrete reason why i dont see a simultaneous release of us/eu/au/uk versions of ps3 and 360 day and date. it's not feasible not when the ps3 version will be a year into completion just before they start the 360s. it would only be such if a preproduction group is working on that. and there isn't because they want the ps3 version done.
as for the ps3 demo... that will be good. i'll be getting the advent children bluray for sure.
If it was 360 to PS3, then I'd believe it. Porting this game to the 360 may not take very long after all. If localization will really take 6-9 months, then I see no reason why the game can't be ported to the 360 in that some amount of time IF they start on the 360 version at the same time as localization.
They won't be making the game from scratch. They will be taking game code and assets for the PS3 version and making them work on the 360. It only makes sense to have the whole game completed before trying to port it somewhere else after all this work has been done.
For a high profile game like Final Fantasy, I'm sure that they will try to get something figured out really quick if there are some problems like that. I'm sure FF13 is a very important game to Microsoft, almost as if it was one of their own 1st party titles.
This game was meant to be played on PS3, so that's where I'm going to play it. But it's still kinda funny Sony lost this one. LOL their BIGGEST exclusive, LOL. What a flop company.
stop doing these closed door events. FANS wanna see the trailers; we're the ones buying the game...get'em out there
It truly saddens me to think of all the Developers struggling with the Ancient DVD9 Format.
I don't know what to make of a description of a trailer, especially one so short on detail.

"we did see new in-game engine elements that looked phenomenal."
