Critically Sane: "Nearly a decade since its release, some of the shine has worn off. In fact it is easy, and somewhat en vogue, to be dismissive of Microsoft’s second big shooter franchise. After all, it was in many ways patient zero for what many came to think of as what was wrong with game development during the last generation. Dull color palette? Check. Big, bruising meathead soldiers? Check. Clearly-staged cover-based shooting arenas? Check. It’s all there and, while not the originator of any of those features, Gears of War was the most high profile and successful game to utilize them all so liberally. But dismissing Gears of War is ignoring the fact that it was massively popular, spawned three sequels, and inspired countless copycats of varying quality. Critically acclaimed titles like Uncharted, Spec Ops: The Line, and even Mass Effect 2 owe much to Gears of War’s design. Gears laid a groundwork that defined a generation."
Legend has it that this list of the best Xbox One Co-Op games is so good, it may require four people to fully enjoy.
Daily Video Game writes: "CDKeys is featuring various digital titles on sale with huge discounts for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC gamers right now! The savings vary depending on what game you want to purchase, but you could save up to 90% off of them, and that's pretty awesome."
The issue with these sites is that 'some people' buy keys in sales with stolen credit cards, then you buy the game from them...Then the company get the chargeback so it actually costs the game company money. I'm not convinced this is a vast majority though as pretty sure if it was a fraud site it woud just be closed down. Only issue I've had with an invalid key was for splinter cell blacklist for 38p. Pretty sure that is penny fraud. i.e. most people won't bother disputing as it's not worth it.
IGN sit down with members of The Coalition to discuss how Gears esports has grown over the years.
So the reviewer faults this game because it's not Gears 2 or Gears 3... People petitioned for a Gears 1 remaster so thats what they gave us. I'm sorry but I don't think you can fault a game for not being another game if that makes sense
And it comes with bundled with gears 2 and 3 what's the reason for that score
I think having only Gears 1 in the remaster is fine, it's the best in the series anyway imo. They could have opted for 60 fps though, and included more multiplayer options.
the campaign is amazing, multiplayer looks great aswell but the gameplay is all gears 3 the only thing that kinda feels like gears 1 is boxes on 2v2 with 1 minuet round durations... gears one was being able to pick what map, the round duration and the number of rounds you wanted to play.. and very inconsistent with the shotgun, shooting thru walls it seems random in dammage.
Love this game can't stop playing it.
