A DualShock 3 is Still $50?

Recently Liam upgraded from the PlayStation 3 to the PS4, but he am constantly going back and forth between the two systems, as it’s an economical way to collect and play games. For Liam, the PlayStation 3 has the best library for a single player experience and he loved going back to it, playing games that he missed, want to experience again, or overall enjoyed playing. The helpings on the current generation are far from scarce, but nothing has pulled him in quite yet.

Here in Holland the PS3 and PS4 controllers are 60(!) euro. Absolutely ridiculous pricing.

I usually pick up a few when I'm in Hong Kong, for roughly half the price.

Die hoer is doer!!LOL,You're right about that one.
I actually need a new PS3 controller because mine is acting up on occasion but they're too expensive.

The PS3 is a great place for multiplayer games as well. That's why people continue to but controllers. Also, enticing more people to buy the PS3 console, games, and accessories isn't going to do harm for Sony since they still make profit from as well as selling its PS4 products.

I'm surprised that Sony hasn't officially dropped the PS3's official price to $150 new. They were all to happy to drop the PS2's price during the 7th gen. The most logical explanation why they haven't yet is because they lost a lot of money last gen and they want to continue making as much profit as they are able to.

For me personally I'm glad that I can use my DualShock 4 on my PS3. If I could use the DS4's home button on PS3, I'd never pick up a DS3 again.

Sony has never been wonderful with their pricing. I've always found them to be quite expensive except for the ps4 of course. Never bothered me though because I know their stuff is good.

Why is this news? Xbox 360 controllers are also 60$...

ShaunCameron1208d ago

I bought an Xbox 360 controller for $40 this past January. And that was at Circuit City.

Sokol1208d ago

That's great, they are selling for 59$ here in Canada.

@ Sokol

I live in Canada as well. And yet I still managed to get the thing for $40.

OverdosedWitDopeness1208d ago

Circuit city still exists in Canada?

ShaunCameron1207d ago

@ OverdosedWitDopeness

It's just called The Source these days. Pardon the mistake. I thought it still went by the name of The Source @ Circuit City.

$50 bucks is dirt cheap, they cost $80 in Australia.
