GamesBeat's Mike Minotti: The Mega Man Legacy Collection gave me an excuse to play through the NES classics Mega Man 1 through 6 again. With all of them fresh in my mind, I figured it would be a good idea to rank them.
The best Mega Man is the one in which I can stay alive for more than 2 minutes.
Mega Man II is the best one! After that one it was too late on the NESs life to keep being interested in them (who would play on NES when they have a Genesis or TG-16? I certainly did not look back). That being said, Mega Man II was a great game, the dificulty was well balanced (yay I was able to finish it!) and it looked as good as a NES game could lood, had interesting new bosses, etc.
just tried playing the first one again. got through elctromans level but then he just kicked me around three times in a row. I don't know how I ever got through these games when I was a kid
Cutman takes him down pretty quickly.
yeah, I looked up the ideal order to take on these bosses after I posted this comment. I'm at Dr. Wileys level now but there is this f'ing mud monster boss that is just kicking my ass everytime
If you're *really* having a hard time, use the select/pause trick when you're damaging him.
The mega man games were so much easier when I was a kid playing through them as they came out. Now I severely suck at them. Time you are a bastard!
