damn it looks nice http://www.n4g.com/News-177...
no disc swapping and better looking. ps3 FTW
Disc swapping doesn't bother me. The game does look amazing.
It should bother you, anyone would prefer not having to swap...if you say you wouldn't you are a liar.
swapping takes less than 5 secs, installing on the other hand... anyway I'm getting this for my newly bought PC; it will probably look better than any console version.
You're complaining about install times and you're getting the PC version? How long does it take to boot up a game on a PC???
I'm not complaining, it's a fact. Installing take much more time than just swapping discs. I have a PS3, a 360 and a PC, so I can get the game in any platform I want.
The racing reminds me a bit of MotorStorm.
i hated having multi disc games back in the day. u kno why one of my stupid cousins lost the second disc to my ffvii. that was beyond inconvenient. btw anyone interested in buying disc 1 and 3 of ffvii. :D
Disc swapping should be gone by now, but it's not, and really, is no big deal. I've had to do it since now(PS3), so it still doesn't bother me to swap discs.. But, if the "problem" persists next gen, that will probably be a real pain and problem. On topic, game looks fantastic..
Yep, PC version... the version to get. Install it and get better graphics (in FULL HD), better load times (in HDD) and better controler (keyboard + mouse) :)
Disc swapping isn't that big of a deal IMO. It's that whole "compression to fit" thing that bothers me more. Knowing the 360 version is gimped ONLY because of disc space, is pretty sad. But hey, we can just blame MS for that one.
wow the game looks amazing
Though it was off screen the graphics look detailed like crazy, have they said whether that was the PC or Ps3 version running?
...if it's the 360 version.
@3.2 If it's the 360 version, then PS3 owners will get to laugh at you because that's the compressed "crappy" version.
It look awesome... instant buy for me.
screaming Madd Maxx right at me
while i watching it i am like ok "Mad Maxxish", then i saw the mutants, and i was hmm total recall, then the dude was doing a speech and i was like braveheart, then they ended off with racing and shooting i was like twisted metal meets motorstorm meets Mad Maxx
^^^ looks like a shooter mated with motorstorm,,,don't you agree?
the way people scream for it haha man...
My World! UR World! PSPHUKN3!!!
this trailer is already on gametrailers in hd for those who want to see it better, but only half of it though for some reason.
Looks like the hills have eyes...
And the walls have teeth!
what's always been my concern about lack of disc space on DVD, multiple or otherwise, is when the content PER DISC is being compressed to fit. that's what's going on with RAGE: Id doesn't want to pay the high licensing costs to fit their game on 3 discs, so they are compressing the quality of game to fit on 2. if they were willing to put the game on three disc, then the visual fidelity would be the same across all platforms. unfortunately, they aren't doing that, the game will look markedly better on the PC and PS3 as a result. disc swapping is SOOOO 1997, but it's hardly the real issue. i don't want to pay the same price for a game that i KNOW is of subpar quality to the same game on other platforms, no matter HOW many discs it ships on. Blu Ray is steadily showing it's worth, and it's not just Sony's first and second party studios that are championing more disc space. Id is known to be a staunch supporter of the Xbox and Xbox 360, and the more PC-like ease of development. unfortunately, Microsoft didn't get the memo that bigger visual assets require bigger storage space.
I agree. Disc swapping is too overblown. But loss of quality due to compression is not. It's a serious issue that MS isn't addressing. It sucks that 360 gamers won't be able to enjoy the game as it could have been. But like I said in an earlier post, MS is the one to blame for their mistake.
more proof id is the #1 dev on the planet. Doom 3 was one of the most frighteningly terrifying experiences in gaming. I don't know about this motorturd game, but doom 4 can't come soon enough.
you upset rage is going to be inferior then?
Looks nice, but i haven't enjoyed an id game since Quake III Arena so i'm not holding my breath.
I'll just wait for the new Doom.
