12 minutes? Good luck with that.

crxss3167d ago

LOL @7:37 QUEUE RAIDEN! *laughs*

Becuzisaid3167d ago

This was awful. Also "Naomi Campbell"? And Snake doesn't age because of FoxDie

TheWackyMan3167d ago (Edited 3167d ago )

Yeah that was terrible. downplays the importance of the boss and her death, Completely skips peace walkers story, doesn't even explain what the patriots are and doesn't tell you about the Patriot AI being used in 2.

If you want to play 5 with a good grasp of whats happening, go play MGS3 and peace walker, they aren't terribly long and really cheap.

InMyOpinion3167d ago

Give it at least 50 minutes and do it properly. I have no idea who these ADD games media outlets nowadays cater to.

Anyways, 1 more week then BOOM!

DanielGearSolid3167d ago

This reminds me of that epic retrospective they did a few yrs back

Becuzisaid3167d ago

Those were awesome. This is crap and unfunny. The narrator and his fake hype is awful.

Kenshin_BATT0USAI3167d ago

I mean there's nothing wrong with Huber, I know for a fact he is eagerly anticipating the game, but they really can't do much better. Their parent company are absolute fucking dicks to the GT team. They down downsized twice and they had to move to smaller offices twice.

Metal Gear fans owe it to themselves to play Snatcher

A look at Hideo Kojima's Snatcher.

Oh you mean that game where Hideo borrowed all his ideas from Blade Runner? Not sure how MGS fans owe it to themselves to go point and click in a completely different genre, but if you wanna help point out, how much this tool-set has used and borrowed over the years, this is a good start.

CrimsonWing69337d ago

Ok, I’m not sure where all that’s coming from, but he literally was inspired by Balde Runner and Terminator for this game and made something that is different enough to call unique and is a pretty great game if you’re into those properties and like point and click kind of games.

Most things are influenced by something, nowadays.

JamiroquaiBocephus337d ago

Wow. Kojima must have really wronged you in the past. That or your boyfriend dumped you. Either way, you gotta let go of that hate and try to be more positive. People are worried about you.

SimpleSlave337d ago

HEY!!! While I agree with you that Kojima is...uhm...kinda hackish and full of himself, I can't let you in good conscience talk like that about Snatcher. Goddamn masterpiece that game is. His best game ever. Followed, of course, by Policenauts.

Now stop being such a mid and go back to whatever it is that you do. Probably scream "10 out of 10! Best game ever!! Game of the Year!!!" about some game it hasn't even been release yet.

...

Besides, Kojima started plagiarizing with the original Metal Gear, so...Pfft! Shows how little you know.

neomahi336d ago

Nothing's original these days, man. Everything draws from something before it and everyone's a fan of someone else, just how it goes, dude.

Now, I'm all about having modern games on modern hardware. I don't want a beast of a machine to play 2nd generation graphics games on, I want a new experience with current visuals, but to pull out the old console and hook it up to the heaviest TV in existence, well, then get to experience classic pieces of art. Museums are great! Taking people back to the time of Mario and showing life after the gaming crash is fun for a lot of people, but the modern games are important to show technology is still moving forward. Backward compatiblity is a joke (and I don't mean that by saying they could do better), new gaming hardware is for new games and experiences, that's why we have our old gaming consoles. If you wanna play your old games, don't throw out your consoles. You buy new hardware for new experiences. This is just showing people the past, but you can dwell too much on the past. Live in the present and welcome the possibilities of the future

And who's buying us the equipment to play Snatcher

franwex337d ago

Would’ve played this long ago if it was possible.

Godmars290337d ago

And Konami owes it to fans, their own profit margins, to re-release if not wholly remake the game.

DarXyde336d ago (Edited 336d ago )

I think you mean Konami owes it to fans to license or sell the IP to a team that knows what they're doing.

At the very least they could do current gen remasters of 1-4.

LonDonE703d ago

i would love a twin snakes remaster with mgs4 at 4k60, loved twin snakes

703d ago
Tacoboto703d ago

The very-very least would be to let these titles be included in advanced PS Plus tiers

Eidolon703d ago

I assure you that is not the least they could do, but it is what these games deserve at the very least.

neutralgamer1992703d ago

1st and 4th are in some way connected to Sony. Same as twin snakes with Nintendo

In a perfect world they would sell the rights to silent hills, mgs, contra and Castlevania to Sony and Konami can focus on their other business. Sony can reboot the series and remake the first game under Bluepoint and have kojima help. Sony is the only publisher they will provide resources for these games and hand them off to right developers

Mgs series reboot bluepoint
Castlevania David jaffe and Cory
Contra to housemarque
Silent hills to kojima

porkChop703d ago

MGS1 was released on PC, so I don't see how there's any connection to Sony. In regards to MGS4 it's been reported today that Sony didn't have any exclusive deal. A KojiPro dev confirmed Kojima himself chose not to port the game. It was supposedly due to DVD limitations vs Blu Ray. Microsoft charged a hefty fee for any game that required more than 1 DVD, and that charge was per extra disc.

neutralgamer1992703d ago

If that's true why has that game been ported because Xbox one has Blu-ray disks? I doubt a greedy company like Konami would pass on the opportunity

And being on PC isn't the same as being on xbox. Just look at FF7 remake. Man I just want someone to do justice to these IP's. The other day I was thinking whoever buys the IP should start from scratch and make remakes while adding content and other missing stuff. Get a game where we get to play as the boss being one of the examples

MGS1 remake is in development as far as I can tell. There is too much smoke around this rumor

Just like silent hills rumors are now turning out to be confirmed around the same time we got rumors saying Sony has signed a deal with Konami to do games

pietro1212703d ago

MGS4 being a PS3 exclusive was solely Kojima’s decision and not Sony. A MGS4 port or remaster is entirely up to Konami

Sell the franchise to someone who cares about it enough to do something with it

IamFrasierCrane703d ago

Just like the 30th anniversary. They won’t.
