Battlefield: Bad Company was the first Battlefield title to have a stand-alone story mode with substantial characters and a real plotline. While it paled in comparison to the fun of the multiplayer options, it still functioned well enough with off-the-wall characters and fun scenarios. Still, multiplayer was the star of the show.
Now Electronic Arts and DICE are releasing the all-new Conquest Mode in early August. Packed in the download is Conquest mode, four relit and modified maps, and a few bug fixes. Obviously the biggest of those additions is the new multiplayer mode which fans of Battlefield 1942 (and every other Battlefield game) should know quite well.
