Many jokingly refer to "Skull & Bones" as being simply a cursed game because of the amount of development problems the project runs into on a nearly yearly basis.

I remember when this was announced several years ago. I thought then, "Looks fun! The type of pirate game that appeals to me when compared to Sea of Thieves. Can't wait to try it out in a year or maybe two TOPS!"

Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in development hell aswell. Its totally fallen off the radar, not seen a thing in years. Game was first shown at E3 2017

I think it’s a combination of poor management - some parts incompetence, laziness, inexperience, and it’s difficult to start with.

Mix in a little of the same for devs, including some purposeful wasting time as they get paid for years while screwing off half the time. And it’s difficult work to start with.

Some mid level and most low level devs get screwed on projects and then look for ways in future projects to recover.

Ubisoft needs games with deeper mechanics. Their games are so simple there is little joy in beating them especially considering how long most of them are.

Growing up, Joan was always fascinated with animation, and it naturally became her choice of academic major. But it wasn’t video games that got her interested at first, that influence came mainly from films and TV animations that she was exposed to. It wasn’t until she got into a University that she chanced upon playing Assassin’s Creed and there, she met a lecturer who would eventually set her on a path to Video Games animation.
