Remasters for the two first entries of The Witcher series will hardly ever happen, the team's community lead recently stated
Witcher 1 is really hard to get into. W2 was cool but I don't think I will go back to it after W3. They don't need to be remastered. W3 does its best to explain everything and give you the context you need for every Quest and characters
They dont. They are fine. Work on Cyberpunk 2077. But a Bioshock trilogy remaster would be great.
I personally wish they would remaster TW1 since they were supposed to back on the 360 and PS3 titled The Witcher: Rise of The White Wolf and it's the only one not on consoles even though it's dirt cheap on Steam.
I ended up buying an old laptop just so I could play it... worth every penny, even though it's still the only PC game I own. It's a slog to get through - the first half of the game has you running through swamps, sewers and slums - but the second half is gold... unfortunately it's got one of the most bizarre control schemes I've ever seen, which probably wouldn't work with a controller. Pity, cos the story is excellent - Geralt's amnesia makes it a great jumping-on point for people who haven't read the novels and it's plot leads directly into 'Assassins of Kings'... here's hoping the rumors about Steam coming to xbox turn out to be true.
Their was never a Witcher game on PS anything.
Probably after they are done with Cyberpunk 2077 and its sequels they might remaster as they build hype for a new Witcher or something else in the future. Who knows. Either way.
White Wolf almost bankrupted the company, they cancelled it and took what money they had left and made The Witcher 2. http://www.pcgamer.com/the-...
Not that i would mind a remaster of the previous games i understand their point, and rather have them 100% focused on making Cyberpunk another CDPR masterpiece...
Bless you CD P. Thing is, if we didn't have so many sh!tty remakes and remaster, this would be a novel idea and therefore welcomed. But....
I'm glad they want to focus on the future. I would like to see a remastered version of TW1, but I prefer them to focus on their future right now. They have all the time in the world to make remastered versions of their games in the future.
Remaster no, remake to ps4/x1 yes.
