SegmentNext - Bethesda Softworks introduced us to Fallout 4 gameplay footage right on the day when they officially unveiled the game, but no more videos have been shared officially since then, apart from this newly leaked footage from Gamescom.
I miss the old nuke explosion sound when you find a new location and also the money ching when you earn xp.
Did all the past Fallout games have those features?
Does it matter? The last ones had it and it sounded cool.
Fallout never was TPS or FPS. OT: looks the same, I loved FO3 and NV bit i dunno i wanted something revolution.
How can anything be revolutionary in the TES or Fallout series? They are both franchises based in particular worlds, worlds that have very unique settings. ANY game in those franchises are going to look and feel VERY familiar. Fallout 4 is doing some VERY revolutionary stuff in terms of gameplay, like the base building, but people think the game isn't worth the purchase because it 'looks' the same. That's so stupid.
Looks like Fallout 3 next gen rather than fallout 4... And the blood looks like ketchup...
who gives a shit, it looks fun as hell. the combats actually fun now, and being able to customize your gun, power armor, settlement, and even dog are all things that I'm looking forward to. would much rather play this then Fallout 3, which was fun at the time.
Tatic needs glasses. Game looks great and fun! I think what we see now is what we will get as well.
Nv had a burning wind sound, i guess it changes per Fallout
So how sure are we that the PS3 and XBOX 360 couldn't handle this?
Because the developers said so?
Am i the only one who thinks the crosshair is a little bit too big?
Cool, couple of dudes shoulders for most of it and blown out lighting for the rest :\ Nothing really new here besides some interactivity with Dogmeat and a peek at the skill tree.
My guess is recording was prohibited. Hence hiding the cam behind others shoulders. It's definitely better than nothing
lalalala I can't see this, I don't want to. This is one of those games that has enough out already for me to know I want it, and that I want to discover the game, locations, and features on my own. That being said I didn't find the light on the PipBoy in Fallout 3 until like 30 hours in.
I am right there with you bro, I am on Fallout 4 media blackout until launch. I will read some comments but I will ignore footage and actual articles. I want to discover it on my own.
Same for me. I think if they announced this game a year+ ago it would have been harder to keep myself from enjoying the drip feed of info. The quick turn around from reveal to release has made it work out though.
I can't see anything...
Worst leaked I've ever seen.
Then you must have not seen a lot of leakage.
The lighting adjusts on the video, you can see how detailed the world looks. Im very excited for this game
OK now give that engine to Obsidian so they can write the real masterpiece around it.
I love summer... I hate winter but... Dear November - Please hurry
Looks like a standard fps
In terms of ascetics, barely any like Fallout. In terms of gameplay... V.A.T.S.? Where is that? And dog commands to look for loot? Sounds familiar but still far from standard in FPS. What about the RPG elements? Yeah overall not your standard FPS. And you can play in third person which that alone makes FPS untrue since it isn't solely in first person. Action RPG is what it is. But who cares? It's one of the best franchises out there!
You mean those rpg elements that Bethesda are barely talking about? Or dog commands that won't change the game since most of it existed in new vegas and it's using Skyrim's system? Third person didn't work well any previous Bethesda game, I'm not convinced it will work well here. VATS is basically bullet time now, lots of shooter games have a slow down mode.
Except for the fact that it's a open world rpg and not a standard fps.
This is the demo websites talked about. Now we get to see it, in shitty quality but still. What I took away from this: - Better enemy animations including when getting hit and dying. - Reticule changes depending on what you aim (air, enemy, door, etc). - Better weapon sounds in my opinion. - Dog commands (we already knew that). - Hacking terminals is the same and we got that news too a couple days ago. - Seems like you move a bit when walking, not just gliding like before LOL. - This guy is a thug for recording it without getting spotted!
