I found it weird that you did not even mention BlazBlue Central Fiction or Mortal Kombat XL and the upcoming Injustice 2 in your article.

edureboucas2724d ago

I haven't been following MK, so I didn't think I'd do a good enough job talking about it But you're right about Injustice 2, I'll make an addendum in regards to it!

NeoGamer2322723d ago

First, why is this article tagged with XB1 when there are no XB1 games mentioned.

Second, Killer Instinct is considered one of the best brawling games now... Why was it not mentioned in the article?

edureboucas2722d ago

Well, first, Tekken 7 is coming out on Xbox One.
Second, I have not played KI, the whole purpose of the article is to talk about games I had some experience with! =)

NeoGamer2322722d ago

The title is misleading then.

If you are going to write an article about the "state of brawl in 2016" you would think you'd have played all the major brawling games from 2016. Killer Instinct - Season 3 shipped in spring 2016 and has over 7 million players!

And Tekken 7 isn't coming until at least next year to North America. So it isn't really the state of brawl for 2016, but 2017! (Which you do mention is coming in 2017... but nonetheless the title is about 2016. Shown and shipping in 2016 are completely different things!)

A better title would've been State of Brawl 2016-17. And go and play Killer Instinct so you can truly talk about the state of brawl in 2016-17.

edureboucas2722d ago

I definitely will! I just recently got a Windows 10 capable PC with that in mind! I agree, the titling could've been better. I saw Tekken 7 at E3 and yeah, it's coming out next year, you're right.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

Community Made Fighting Game "Rising Thunder" No More?

Unlike the vast majority of fighters, from Street Fighter, to Mortal Kombat, Rising Thunder doesn't use directional input to control special moves, (things like Ryu's hadouken, or Scorpion's spear) at all. Instead, each special (3 per character) is assigned to its own button, and in a manner very reminiscent of skills in the RPG genre, has a cooldown timer attached to it.

According to an email from Radiant Entertainment, Radiant has been acquired by League of Legends publisher Riot Games, and as of right now, Rising Thunder is no longer in development, and the alpha access is about to be cut off.
