Christopher: Maybe I had forgotten what I loved about Metal Gear Solid games. It's been seven years (!) since Metal Gear Solid 4 graced our PlayStation 3s and, regardless of your affection for the game at the time — and mine wasn't high — it hasn't aged well.
Whether it's showcasing damage realistically or simulating fractures and conditions, these games are worth checking out.

Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.

I have to agree, after playing ground zeroes and watching the 30 min demo, this could be a goty contender for me.

MGS 4 has NOT aged badly, it's one of the best stealth games ever made (perhaps THE best). Wish the author elaborated on that point, would be curious to read their view.
Can't wait for this game...
