Galak-Z manages to take classic gameplay and transform it into a must have gaming experience.
Awesome game, idk why my PushSquare article in which they gave Galak-Z a 9/10 wasn't approved. Idk why media outlets seem to overlook Galak-Z the dimensional.
I just checked your profile. I didn't see any submission. But this game is looking even better and better, I think I will get it soon.
As someone who is in the middle of season 3, I would DEFINITELY say get it. You won't be disappointed. One of the best games of the year, in my opinion, and very addicting.
Galak-Z is a wonderfully technical game with top quality ai and physics. It seems the top reviews for Galak-Z don't get approved here, but the average to below average reviews do. Hmm. Congratulations to Jake Kazdal he is a good guy who is very meticulous about his games, but it pays off. The whole team worked so hard and it shows, can't wait for season 5. Thank you 17bit.
I really like the game but I think it's structure is a it's weakness. Gameplay is fantastic, however the rougue like elements in a game segmented by episodes just don't work for me. Unlike other rougelikes with an abundance of variables, galak z just doesn't have enough potential variation. One playthrough of a season isn't drastically different to the next. Sure the environment is the same, but you are likely to come across similar playstyles and able to adopt a similar playstyle, either way. Plus, all the rouge like elements become somewhat redundant when you simply get good with the games systems. Upgrades for your ship or not, the mech is powerful as hell and you will kill pretty much whatever you like, without taking damage if you learn how to use the shield + charged strike combo. Overall, I really like the game though, I think 8/10 is a fair score just based on how polished the actual game is, I just think it's structure needs a little work.
There is some kind of conspiracy going on with this game. There should be so much more hoopla for a game that gives Rocket League and Bloodborne a run for their GOTY money. I'm very suspicious and feel like I've aged an extra year over this.
