When Remedy released Alan Wake on Xbox 360, few people questioned the live-action cut scenes sprinkled throughout the campaign. It turns out those moments were the seedlings for a grander vision: to develop a game interwoven with a full TV show.
Cant wait for this game, most anticipated xbox one game for me
QB has been my most anticipated game since launch, but now it is also Gears 4, Crackdown 3 and Halo 5.
Interesting. 2016 cant come soon enough. Sam lake is a genius.
Nice, I like this idea of playing the game and unlocking live episodes a lot better than the whole original show Xbox had planned. Very good technique and I think this is a real example of the term "cinematic" gameplay. And Lance Reddick always adds a touch of class to whatever show/movie he's in. https://www.youtube.com/wat... Best scene in The Wire ever!
I loved him on Fringe.
He was great in 'Oz' as well - played an undercover cop who gets in too deep... he's got this graceful, almost elegant way of moving that I haven't seen with any other actor. Nice to know these are full-length (22 mins) episodes... having us make choices about how they play out is a brilliant idea, which should make for some interesting replays. Can't wait to check it out... pity I don't have any time-travelling powers.
Now moved to my most anticipated game of the first 1/2 of 2016.
Loved Alan Wake and this looks to be another hit for Remedy! Cant wait!
So you have to watch the show to get the game?
It's like a cinematic adventure like The Order or Heavy Rain except with real live actors. It might be cool if done right.
Quantum Break is going to be garbage they should of have went with Alan Wake is the first place
I Always have consider Remedy as true artist when it come about video games. I'm a huge Alan Wake fan I can't wait for that Remedy experience!
This game has the potential to be a big hit. The graphics look great and the cast has some good actors such as Bobby Drake from X-Men, CIA agent from The Dark Knight Rises and the guy from Fringe. The 'choices' which lead to alternate episodes will ensure the need to replay the game a few more times as well.
