SegmentNext - The Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt RED is planning to give the series some rest. They are currently focused on Cyberpunk 2077 and say that they haven't even given The Witcher 4 a thought.
I can wait :) IF Witcher 4 ever releases it will def be worth the wait.
Exactly... spare a thought the Polish, who've been waiting since the early 90's, or the english-speaking fans who spent years waiting for the novels to be translated (not to mention the fans who translated them themselves). If they can wait, so can we... let Geralt redefine next-gen all over again. Personally, I'd like to see Kovir... Lan Exeter is one of the wealthiest cities in that world, who's 'neutral' status has made it a haven for all sorts of oddball mercs and mages. The Oxenfurt dlc will be cool, but it's next year's Toussaint dlc that I'm really eager to see... the books make it sound like some kind of alcoholic Disneyland.
when I saw the elves city, i Hoped that someday we will play there
i was hoping that as well, but still 2 massive expansion packs are coming where geralt will travel across new cities.
Glad i haven't played it yet. I have my CE but i'm waiting to upgrade my pc. But i'll probably wait till the enhanced edition is out :)
Cyberpunk 2077 now :3
Indeed, it's time for some Cyberpunk. I wouldn't mind if they moved on to something of their own creation instead, because the established world of Witcher is restricting them.
Yea, I'm really looking forward to that, if they give it as much love as they did Witcher 3 it'll really be a game that has a lot of appeal for me as I really prefer Sci-fi to Fantasy. Especially since fantasy games are a dime a dozen and quality Sci-Fi RPG's are super rare.
NOT EVEN A THOUGHT!? : ( Game on.
The witcher 4 will come and Ciri will be the main character, but first cyberpunk!
doubt it her powers would alter combat too much and she can't seem to pary aswell and isn't actually a monster hunter/witcher. I think Geralt is who it would be about again...
they said geralts adventure will end with 3 but doesnt mean the same with the franchise itself. they also said there are many interestings witchers in this universe, not only geralt
It's Goty "ez" so far this year, and not even a thought....that's upsetting...for me. Game On.
Hey I'm ALL FOR not making this another Assassin's Creed/COD/etc, and something more akin to The Elder Scrolls. Yes please.
now that's what I like to hear. A dev that value's their franchise and doesn't want to milk it to death
Yeah, start on that Cyberpunk 2077 thing, it sounds great!
I heard they will be doing the same thing with CoD and AssCreed... *tries to keep a straight face* BAAhahahahahahaha
They couldn't milk it yearly. Far too much work involved, plus after witcher 3 they might lack emotional energy to make another witcher right now. I don't think 'witcher 4' will be here until 2020/2021.
Thank you CD P. You understand gaming. Bless you.
No problem. Great game, and I'm looking forward to what Cyberpunk will be.
Takes notes, Ubisoft.
That's fine. The Witcher is fine as a trilogy. Just focus on Cyberpunk, and maybe alternate with another new IP after that.
