Forza Motorsport 6 Director Explains How it Can Run at 1080p/60 FPS With Rain, 24 Cars and More

Many were quite surpised by the ability of Turn 10 to make Forza Motisport 6 run at 1080p, 60 frames per second with weather and 24 cars on track to boot. Yet, they managed.

Guess they have the benefit of being a first party but they're very modest guys, full 1080p 60fps for a racing sim with the features Forza 6 has is a very impressive achievement. Hats off to you Turn 10

Also I dont understand how can they make so huge game less than 2 years after Forza 5, most AAA games take 3+ years now to develop.

Turn 10 have a lot of experience, they know what they are doing=

If you give a talented dev who has a serious passion for their craft, then give them great hardware to work with, plus a huge budget to pay for every little idea, and YES they will deliver....its that simple.

Because, the last Forza(Not Horizon) game was a soul-less re-release with less content and barely better visuals than older titles. It's sad but true.

They had tons and tons of time to create a new game engine.

This better be a proper sequel because the last Forza(Not Horizon) entry was nothing but an excuse to claim another exclusive. It seems like it's going to be in terms of graphics, engine, and physics. But, content is another factor to decide.

Since when, many games are still on the annual release, and many of them are still on bi-annual releases.

And this is the 3rd XBO game they've worked on, plus they carried over their work from both Forza 5 and Horizon 2, which cuts dev time down significantly, so they can focus on new features. It works, and it's the wise thing to do.

Edit:

LOL marked for trolling above for serving humble pie, you fanboys are so cute when your ignorant.

"And that graphics engine is being worked on by two world-class teams: the Turn 10 team and the PlayGround team."
And how is praising yourself as a "world class team", modest? You have a funny definition of the word modest.

And to magicite, because they are building upon using alot of the same assets. Alot of companies do it. There isn't anything special about it.

This shows you how Xbox one power evolved since 2013

I'm wondering when Turn10 will do something about that Xbox Live Compute for Forza. The destruction was very impressive in Crackdown 3.

Sonital932d ago

Ha, a casual drive turns into a scene from a Michael Bay movie....kaplaw!

Iluvtrim933d ago

Easy. The XBO is a beast.

I think now Microsoft are reaping the benefits of investing in custom tech for X1. P.C hardware in a box will only gets you so far, this gen is going to be all about efficiency and building games for specific tech feature set of a console.

Magicite933d ago

Not a beast, but capable machine.

Sitdown933d ago

Because you know what is a beast for someone else?

People are getting way too ahead of themselves.

It just depends in what you cut or downgrade on the game. There is no secret.

I good studio, like Turn 10, knows how to overcame the limitation of the hardware to achieve what they want.

This just happend in exclusive games, because the other studios dont have time to do this and that why the games run badly and they need so many patches.

SuperStatePro933d ago (Edited 933d ago )

Oh. So what did they cut or downgrade from F5?
