At Microsoft's Gamescom press briefing in Cologne, the house of Xbox just showcased a brand new trailer of Forza Motorsport 6.
Forza Motorsports 6 looks amazing... And the detailed simulation of rain! Even more amazing!
It really amazes me how Turn10 continually innovate in the racing genre and continues to deliver a game every 2-years including being involved in side projects! First it was driveatar, and now rain/weather simulation of this caliber. Freaken awesome and all at 1080p at 60fps!
@breakpad DriveClub and Forza are two completely different racers. Comparisons between the two show you know absolutely nothing about simulated racing games and you are just a jealous Sony fanboy. Forza is a racing sim like GT, DriveClub is an arcade racer.
450+ Cars. 24 Cars on screen. Wet weather. At 1080p 60fps. Amazing!
Don't forget: -Day and Night -148 different surface types modelled for both dry and wet conditions.
Got to give them credit. Every year they keep impressing.
Abriael loves his racing games :) get us some multiplayer footage Abriael! Can't wait for this game
Always pushing the boundaries, and Always deliver.
Turn 10 is just one of those talented studios that you know will deliver with every single game. Its unbelievable how they continue to make the best racing game every single release.
Racing in the rain is always cool. Very nice trailer.
Dx12 rain physics !
Seemingly they are not using DX12 but a modified DX 11 for forza 6. "Yes, we're really excited about DX12 and I think there is going to be a ton of potential with that. However we're not utilizing Dx12 in Forza Motorsport 6 on Xbox One." http://forums.forzamotorspo...
Thats whats even more impressive. Imagine the next forza game that does make use of DX12 and possibly use of azure beyond drivatars. crackdown is leading the way their but I could see things like weather and lighting being shifted to the cloud in online matches, freeing up the console to handle more immediate physical effects. They are already using the console to do things like this locally in FM6: 3d water puddles. Notice how the car pulls as it drives through the puddle: http://abload.de/img/ezgif.... And I have never seen a game do full physics on a tyre wall before. forza is the first, to my knowledge. The tyres can even get stuck under your front bumper and mess with your steering if in contact with a wheel. All of this being done on the console in 1080P-60FPS with 24 cars all physically modeled? thats damn impressive!: http://abload.de/img/ezgif.... Next time round they might go to town with it when the cloud tech has matured a little more. I could see it being used to great effect in FH3 for things like destructable bus stops and tables, rotting barns etc..
LOL at the disagrees. PSfanboys quitely lurking around N4G today. Quietly for a change.
@FlexLuger You're in over your head if you think cloud computing can handle dynamic lighting or weather effects. It would be even crazier to imagine that scenario if the weather was dynamic.
Well done to Turn 10. You answered Xbox fans' demands finally. Enjoy gamers, I know you will. I love racing games especially in adverse weather conditions.
Unfortunately Turn 10 is one of the worst offenders of "bullshots" in the industry, the games never ever look as good as they do in trailers.
Already pre-ordered. Cannot wait! This studio knows what they're doing.
The only racing game that I'll need this year. Kudos, turn 10.
Kudos were from PGR! /s
DC is a technical feat in its own right and so is this game...24 cars on the track..60 FPS.....that's one helluva technical feat, I own DC and think its incredible and I also own Forza:H and it's incredible too. Both offer difference experiences. Both Turn10 and Evolution Studios deserve credit for what they do.
the cockpits look so last gen. graphic fidelity isn't at driveclub level. i'm sure the physics will be great, but it's not a "wow" imo
I would never compare DC to Gran Turismo....just doesnt make sense to me. Sure they both feature cars but they are entirely different genres. Honestly, the amount of stupid comparisons between two different games on different platforms is getting tiresome.
Why should anyone even give a damn about which game looks better ? If a game has amazing visuals & the gameplay sucks , the game will suck .
