Sledgehammer Games and Activision close out a season of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare downloadable content (DLC) with Reckoning, available starting tomorrow Aug. 4, on Xbox Live from Microsoft for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
The final DLC until the next instalment in 3 months? I find it hard to care about any of these games
The last early DLC on Xbox platforms too. I wonder how things will be now that Sony has the early DLC next game?
This ends an era for COD's dominance on Xbox. Next game turns a chapter for the franchise as PS4 get the exclusive deal.
CODs dominance is fading, full stop. Each game in the series is selling less and less, and the hate camps are building. I used to love COD, but then it lost what made it great, and started aiming for a younger audience that only cares for gadgets and personal gain.
Black Ops 1 was the last good CoD in my opinion. CoD peaked when MW2 dropped and started falling off after MW3. I think it's time for a break.
@Paytaa mw2 was the start of the downfall imo. Going away from set 3 killstreaks took away from the balance, and brought in a huge incentive to camp. Taking away meaningful recoil, OP guns and glitches and boom. Downwards spiral.
