How does Nathan Drake's greatest adventure benefit from the leap to 1080p/60 FPS?
Can't wait to get on train again, love that bit with the shotgun BTW looks nice on ps4
Their using the terrible screen cap which Eurogamer Portugal got a hold of. What is the point in comparing such a poor quality capture.
Absolutely abysmal comparison done by Gamingbolt.
It's GamingBolt. They've been pretty open about which platform they want to push.
They look almost exactly the same, why couldn't the do a remaster like Gears? instead we get this and they even took away content like the MP #4TheGamers tho......
So remake 3 games? I mean even though they remastered tlou and now the uncharted series while making a spectacular looking uncharted four...you look at a bad comparison and come to the conclusion that they should have remade it? Lol for the sake of trolling I guess. Cold part about it is I've seen comparisons of gears and for the most part the remake looks better...but I'm some parts....worse. I'm not saying gears is a bad looking game...I'm a total gears fan...what I'm saying gears is a bad comparison.
@Wowsochill You mean that other remaster collection that ALSO isn't out yet? Go away, Xboner.
I see what you did there. Looks much clearer on the PS4 (even though the video quality is very bad). Some of the textures are much more detailed like the textures on the Helicopter for example. Looks like they changed the style of some textures as well. I'll probably get the Collection at some point before Uncharted 4 comes out.
Once the price is at $20, I'll purchase it. Before that though I need a bigger HD.
Just to clear things up: the PS3 version footage used isn't from the final game. It was recorded during the live demo at E3 2009, hence the small differences in texture color etc. GamingBolt did an awful job to produce this "comparison" video.
What an amazing difference high resolution and post-processing can make when compared to a really bad quality video capture. I owned Uncharted 2 on my PS3 and it looks nowhere near that bad.
Things look much different on a high-resolution pc display or mobile phone than they do on a tv where you sit 6 feet away..
I had it on ps3 as well its like their purposely made the ps3 version look worse than it really is l, why da fuq would they do that?Ps4 is there powerful console, you don't have to down tweak the ps3 footage, it's just shady on all kinds of levels
My favourite part of the whole game is that part where you play as Drake.
Forgot just how good the PS3 version looked, definitely holds up and anyone that maybe doesn't want to spend the money on the hd re-release aren't missing out on anything because ND did such a good job the first time. Having said that, upgrading to the 1080p version on ps4 for new comers to the series is a no brainer, even if it has no MP.
There is MP in the form of U4 mp beta and only way to access beta is thru the collection.
@Thegreatgaimer Don't forget the 60FPS. Oh and they fixed the screen tearing in the first game.
Yes you're right, 60fps upgrade is also worth it, the game is so much smoother especially in those high-action cinematic sequences
Yes! Dat 60fps! This actually makes me want to buy the collection, and I wasn't that thrilled about Uncharted when 3 came along.
While I won't be playing these simply because I got to experience them on PS3 and I'm busy trying to catch up on other games. I highly suggest anyone who didn't get to experience these last gen to definitely give these games a play through. You won't be disappointed.
Was the game I was waiting for to get a ps4.
I actually prefer some of the visual aspects of the PS3 version however, if you're new to the franchise its a must buy on PS4.
Buying it for the UC4 beta and then promptly selling it. Already platinumed the first 2 multiple times (actually had people pay me to plat it for them. lol) and the third was a bit disappointing.
Cool story bro
Not sure what people are disagreeing with here. Is it that I want to play a PS4 exclusive so badly I would pay $60 for a beta? Or that I don't want to play a PS exclusive for the 30th time? Seriously? Oh I get it, I said a PS exclusive was disappointing. I have violated the holy of holies. Please forgive me!
People are disagreeing with you because you are an obvious tool. You're welcome.
@medman You're saying that I lack the mental capacity to know that I am being used? I'm thinking you just like throwing that word around.
@Jerry Seinfeld Exactly how are you being used?
@johndoe11211 I have no Idea. You should be asking medman that question. He is the one who called me a "tool." And when you call somebody a "tool" you are saying that they lack the mental capacity to know that they are being used. @ChronoJoe I'll have to look into that. Never heard of that trick before. Amazon says: The Pre-order bonus code will be emailed to you within two days of your "completed" shipment. I don't think it will work since the shipment has to be "completed."
Can you not just preorder on amazon then cancel your order to get the UC4 beta? Is that not possible with this one?
This will probably be the only game I get day 1 this for the rest of the year. It's Nuaghty Dog and Uncharted.
Looks fantastic. I hope I'm not the only skeptic, but why are they only showing uncharted 2 gameplay. I rather see the first uncharted to see how much improvement they made on that game. u can only improve so much regarding in 2 and 3. The most improved would be uncharted 1. Either way already got it preordered and waiting to download
I would think it's obvious they're showing uncharted 2 first because it's the most critically acclaimed game in the series. I'm sure people want to first know how the best game in the series looks before any of the others
I'd imagine the 1st would take the longest to do, as it needs the most work, so they are still working on that one, whereas 2 and 3 could be mostly finished.
I would rather see uc1 or uc3 differences...
It look so great.
Looks as good as one had hoped it would be at 1080p and 60fps. A game that came out in 2009 and which still looks good enough to stand with the games releasing this year is a testament to Naughty Dog. Many naysayers are complaining about the lack of multi-player but ND have added the latest multi-playing experience in the form of Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta. This makes the entire package well worth a day one purchase even if you have played/own he PS3 versions. You can never have too much Uncharted!
I agree but let's hope it's quite a nice beta test then. People are going to want to enjoy themselves in the beta, not just test a broken experience. The UC2 and 3 betas offered very good experiences that nearly represented the final product.
I used to play the crap out of uncharted 2 mp. That kind of sucks. Would've loved tor try a new version of it.
Is the uncharted 2 multilayer still alive on ps3?I played the hell out of it to when I had the game.O would buy it again if the servers or up
Why does Gamingbolt bother doing these comparisons when they're all done so poorly? I'll check out the DF or even Gamespot comparison. Good lord this is bad.
They need to use some other form of comparison because there is hardly any difference when viewing these two side by side like this. I did notice the bricks Drake climbed up were a lot less blurry though.
Wish they showed some more 3 and 1 footage, I really want to see just how different Uncharted 1 looks like
Once again another L for PS4 and a W for the Xbox 1.
Yep defenitly a Large win for Sony and a Woeful loss for Microsoft.
No Multiplayer makes it a no buy for me sadly, maybe will pick it up just to have it when its down to like 20 bucks
If it makes you feel any better. The MP wasnt THAT great... Plus you get to play the MP BETA for UC4. I dont see the problem here..
Are you serious? UC2 Multiplayer was fun af..If it wasnt for the MP i would of never got into the series..Im sure the game will be on sale during the holidays or online soon after release.ill get the beta thn
terrible comparison, who on earth are gamingbolt
No big difference, great for those that didnt play it the first time around though.
To be honest, the difference in visuals is possibly just as much to do with having extra time to tart up the game than it is to do with the PS4s power. They had just 18 months to make Uncharted 2. Of course there'll be things that could be smoothed out, even if they'd done it just on the PS3. Thanks to the Cell, the PS3 was extremely powerful and, in a FEW (I'm not saying any more than that- calm down!)subtle respects as a result, probably exceeds the PS4. Subtle respects of course- it's easy to obliterate those with extra particle effects etc and all the other bells and whistles that the PS4 has. But if those subtle aspects didn't remain, then it wouldn't be possible to still look at the character models on Silent Hill 3 on the PS3 for example and think that impressive to this day.
From what im seeing it looks better on the ps3.shame lol the ps4 version just looks washed out with only better lightning, check out the sun's glare
60fps is life
I'm more interested in looking at the improvement for UC1... it was a great game with technical hiccups..
Misleading, ps3 version was a lot cleaner than what is shown in here. For newcomers to the series they will love this, but to fans of the series i don't see a point to these remasters, as the visual impact of the remaster won't be the same as when it first released for the ps3 and was groundbreakingly stunning.
How is it possible ??? They switched the labels PS3/PS4 ???
soooo the same?
A bit unfair using PS3 demo footage from E3 2009 versus a PS4 version of an already finished but retouched game.
Looked almost the same to me except there were details that weren't as visual in the ps4 version yes that's right, it looked as if the ps4 wasn't as good it some parts.
