During a livestream from the Dead or Alive Festival, Producer Yosuke Hayashi confirmed that a new Dead or Alive Xtreme game is in development.
Koei Tecmo's Integrated Report 2023 published this morning alongside the company's financial results includes interesting insight from veteran Yosuke Hayashi.
Famitsu: "Rise of the Ronin is a PlayStation 5 (PS5) software scheduled to be released on March 22, 2024 by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE).The game is being developed by Koei Tecmo Games' Team NINJA. This is a completely new open world title set at the end of the Edo period in Japan. Along with a story full of historical romance typical of Koei Tecmo Games, you can enjoy an action RPG with a high level of combat typical of Team NINJA, making full use of melee weapons and firearms. In this article, we interview Koei Tecmo Games' producer Yosuke Hayashi and development producer and director Fumihiko Yasuda. We asked him in detail how the development of this work began, and what kind of story and game it is."
I know I'm probably the minority on this but I don't really care for many team ninja games. I can't think of one I actually really enjoyed. Ninja gaiden I liked but coulda did without, probably more a nostalgia thing on that.
Recently, Eurogamer Portugal had the opportunity to play an unprecedented level of NiOh 2 and chat with Yosuke Hayashi, the leader of Team Ninja and one of the main responsible for giving life to this new intellectual property.
After the big success of NiOh, I'm sure they will be allowed to go ahead with their new project.
Team Ninja is an amazing studio.
More skimpy outfits and breast physics. Grrrrrrrrreat!
Hopefully by default now we'll see the damage to costumes.
My only real gripe with DOA is Koei Tecmo's reliance on milking the DLC costumes. It's one of the worst games out there for it.
C'mon guys give us more in-game unlockables please for those who put in the time and the paid stuff reserved for those who can't be arsed and want it without the effort.
I really hope they upgrade this series.
Eyyyyyyyy.. another oggle fest is abound. Can't wait to play this on my HOME CONSOLE which is placed on the living room in the family home. Oh wait... i have the Vita. Remote play saves the day!
is this the volleyball thingy?
Awesome! Now make the volleyball game good first then focus on all the stupidity.
